Did anyone else like Marc last year, but hate Bear this year?
In this celeb series I am seeing a lot of parallels between this series Bear and Marc (2015 civ BB), and a real overlap in their fans, but for some reason Marc has been my favorite housemate of the past 2 years - but I completely despise Bear with a passion.
Anyone else feel the same towards these two housemates and want to help me put what appears to be my cognitive dissonance to bed? I guess Marc was actually funny and intelligent and didn't seem to actually act like a child 24/7, but I don't know. |

I liked Marc as a housemate, and I like Bear as a housemate too, and for the same reason
I always have a soft spot for the 'fearless' housemates who go in there, look at the radar, and absolutely get the logic of dodging it ... then totally ignore it and cause mayhem come what may

I disliked Marc but Bear is amusing me. No idea why.

My most hated HM ever was Marc . I stopped watching because of him . Bear can be entertaining, I just hate his selfishness and complete lack of respect for others . He's ok for entertainment but would be a nightmare to live with in real life .

Marc provoked but knew when to back off and when to apologise, he was intelligent and articulate and I don't believe he was nasty. Bear is a nasty, dim-witted, bumbling fool who has no boundaries.

Bear is just horrible as is Lewis. |

I found them both irritating. Marc was definitely given more favourable treatment by the producers though.

I'm not really watching this years CBB so it's difficult to say conclusively but what little I've seen of Bear I don't like or find entertaining at all. Marc was in my 'love to hate' category. Gawd he was annoying sometimes but I found myself always looking out for for his reaction to events.
His role-playing the polite but subversive concierge (and Jack's disgruntled waiter eating the pastries to be fair) absolutely made the Hotel task for me. Also worth pointing out that there was a whole thread of Marc-isms: things he'd said and done and it was really funny. Can't see that happening for Bear. Marc was clever-perhaps that's the difference? |

Didn't like Marc that much but I did warm to him in his final week - I'd have had him stay over Harry at that point.
Cannot stand bear at all, don't find him slightly entertaining. I'd rather people have fun and be positive rather than stir as much 💩 as possible. |

It is the lack of boundaries I find so disgusting tbh, not just Bear, Lewis, Marnie and Chloe as well. For Bear to 'perform' with Frankie, saying how much he like a finger up his bum, knowing that his parents, family, maybe his granny, is watching him beggars belief in my world. |

I don't like Marc or Bear as HMs but I don't hate either of them, they are just players in a game show that I watch and enjoy [admittedly not as much as I used to].
They're both just mega WUMs - the difference is that Marc Is a good one, Bear isn't. |

At least Marc was intelligent and articulate. Bear just sounds thick and uncouth.
