hated Marc, but i didn't 'get' his humour...found his jokes vulgar and silly, so when he did show his nasty side, i saw no reason to not just out and out loathe him. was as bad as Helen Wood that series in my books.
Bear makes me laugh for some reason. i don't feel disgusted at the sight of him as i did with Marc. |

Marc is a much better HM then Bear. And I didn't like Marc but he had his moments where he was entertaining. Bear is not in the slightest entertaining and I think he is even worse then Helen Wood Aand she got banned by C5.

They are both highly tedious.

Marc provoked but knew when to back off and when to apologise, he was intelligent and articulate and I don't believe he was nasty. Bear is a nasty, dim-witted, bumbling fool who has no boundaries.
Bear comes across as a nasty, sociopathic, dimwitted neanderthal fool. |

In this celeb series I am seeing a lot of parallels between this series Bear and Marc (2015 civ BB), and a real overlap in their fans, but for some reason Marc has been my favorite housemate of the past 2 years - but I completely despise Bear with a passion.
Anyone else feel the same towards these two housemates and want to help me put what appears to be my cognitive dissonance to bed? I guess Marc was actually funny and intelligent and didn't seem to actually act like a child 24/7, but I don't know. |

Up to a point, I appreciate what these WUM characters bring to the show....but it gets old very quickly.
Ideally they should get the boot after 2 or 3 weeks but of course you can't guarantee that will happen. |

Marc was hilarious especially when he was arguing back, as he was very articulate and got the last word, to the exasperation of his opponent. To compare him to that other creature, is farcical. Marc was also empathetic, funny and very quick witted.
Bear comes across as a nasty, sociopathic, dimwitted neanderthal fool. Marc could be incredibly irritating, but he was very smart, able to argue fluently, had good conversational skills and his diary room rants were incredibly funny. He was also able to laugh at himself and didn't take himself too seriously or always think he was right. He had the grace to admit when he'd overstepped the mark. Bear has absolutely no redeeming features whatsoever. |

They both were/are following the same BB "script", but are executing it in their own ways.
They have been told to wind people up, and if they end up winning more fool the voters. It is sad Bid Brother has degenerated to this level of appreciation of deliberately antisocial behaviour. |

i really liked marc, he was a wind up but you could tell he had at least some of a heart behind it all. bear just seems like a really nasty piece of work who takes pleasure in pushing people to breaking point and then pushing them some more.

forget last year.... contrast bb 2016 and summer cbb 2016
marco p-w jr was full on in 1 day bear.... but wasn't "as funny" so did not win any fans... bear on the other hand... did not come with the "anti silver-spoon" baggage & the "bad lad" rather than "spoilt lad" vote from the "chavs" also bear has been protected by it being vote to save, not evict and the dilution of the vote by having his gang up at the same time |

I liked Marc because underneath he was a nice bloke playing a part.
Bear is a moron with a vindictive streak. |

Presumably because Marc was intelligent, warm and witty whereas Bear is thick, vulgar and a nasty piece of work. Horses for courses I suppose

Loved Marc, absolutely despise this Bear cretin. Don't personally see any similarities whatsoever.

I liked Mark. Yes he was often annoying to other housemates but he was never vindictive with it. The complete opposite of this Bear tosser who seems to be trying to copy Mark's act. But failing pathetically. How embarrassing.
