Lipstick....... staying power
I love lipstick. Have the very cheap to the very expensive but they all have the same problem. Staying power!! After an hour or so I am having to re-apply.
![]() I prefer nude/beige colours as these suit my skin tone better so stear clear of darker shades, which would stain the lips thus giving the impression of lipstick. I've used Avon, Mac, Rimmel even Sainsbury's and Asda brands but nothing stays. Would welcome any suggestions. Thanks |

Me too OP. I suit paler, apricot shades - the staining ones are good, but too red, or a cold bluey pink. I find applying a tiny bit and rubbing in with my finger, is less harsh although not perfect. However, I frequently swap favourite makeup around. A little drying so keep moisturised, but a favourite pale powder eyeshadow, or blusher (matte or glittery), works well on the lips over existing lipstick will last hours!

Have you tried MUA from Superdrug- only £1 each - the matte shades stay put quite well I find.

Rimmel used to have a really good one.
It was not a lipstick, but a pen, and absoloutely amazing.. It did stay on for nearly 24 hrs. I asked them on Twitter what happened, they never got back to me. Even a girl in my local supermarket asked what I was wearing. (to add - she's black, I'm white, this is how good this colour was) They do the same pens still (I think) but not that colour. (I have looked it up many times) |

Have you tried using liquid lipsticks? I've found that they stay on so much longer than the stick ones.
I recommend Colourpop and Kylie. Not much Ofra since I've found that it fades too fast! -_- and it's more expensive too. |

Are you using lip liner? I fill my lips in with liner first then apply the lip colour. It stays put throughout the day when I do that.
