Ironic as so many posters say they prefer it as it is "not negative" (actually it is but it looks like it's nicer because "save" sounds a positive action to "evict" being negative)

So now the "fan base" will keep people in that most people would rather removed for their actions...

Whether you like it or not... this show will become "ex on the beach on tour" acted out by Towie & other reality tv nobodies... making up their own little love storylines as they go along... and all the others will not get enough "save" votes.

The only role the "rational" housemates are playing to the reality tv "pretend to be and do anything for tv time" nobodies is to generate the Bill Grundy v Sex pistols culture clash type "shock" moments... and because of vote to save... you can't get rid of them.

I agree we need a VTE and I never thought I would ever say that!

( i said "for most people" - but remember BB & CBB is in a slot aimed squarely at ITV2 & MTV reality tv time or low brain-cell tv fronted by keith lemon stuff.... so it's key target is likely being met and entertained.. and i bet those demographics the advertisers have paid to have their adverts seen by during the show are hitting their audience numbers regardless of the "total number of viewer" figures...)

When its VTE everyone is moaning it should be VTS so the big characters dont get voted out.

I won't vote to save in this series. It's a foregone conclusion the Bear crew are protected by VTS and all of them are abhorrent to me. Not pissing my money away, thanks.

I think the ideal situation is that it should be VTE whenever there's a big character that I want out... And VTS whenever there's a big character that I want to stay.

Is it too much to ask that the entire process revolves around what I want? Sheesh!

It should be both. Why not have VTE on 4 or less and VTS when there are more up? Ideally when it's a head to head it should be VTE but would like to see how Bear would do in a three way VTE, I think he would be gone!

People moan when we have VTE because it "gets rid of the big characters" now people are moaning about VTS because "it's keeping the big characters in that are dominating the show". You just can't win.

Marnie and Lewis are playing the whole "couple" thing, however Bear and Chloe are just having a bit of fun. Bear is gaining support because he is entertaining in alot of peoples eyes.

Exactly, Saira said yesturday that half of them dont actually speak, they just sit in the corner and dont offer an opinion. So its not like they are doing stuff and BB arent showing it, they are just playing it safe.

Exactly. It's all about who you want saved and who you want booted and which voting method suits. Consistency is what matters and it tends to VTS in CBB and VTE in civilian BB until the final.

One possible way of keeping both camps happy is to alternate VTS and VTE from one eviction to another, for both the civilian and celebrity version of the show...

They could probably afford to loose Chloe or Lewis but Bear wont be going anywhere, without him they havent got a show. Saira said it herself last night, the rest wont offer an opinion on anything they just sit around saying nothing all day.

I think VTS can be good; however when 90% of the house are d!cks, it does rob the joy of evicting someone.

In BB14 there were people who threatened to boycott the show because it was VTE and they wanted VTS. In BB13 the Conor haters wanted VTE instead of VTS.

I don't understand what you mean 'ruin' every series of CBB on C5 has been vote to save. Its not like they have done it any other way .
Its just unfortunate this series that we have a stonking amount of unlikeable characters.
I actually think Saira would still have gone using VTE. There really is very little difference to the evictee in most cases.
Think about it, if all these people voted to save bear AND lewis then they would only need evict Saira to keep them in.

Well, I'm always lairy about what evicted HMs say. Maybe they just didn't support Saira and she's cheesed off.
Emma said there would be a task where HMs had to either be team players or selfish, and it would end in a shock eviction. Something like what happened with Lateysha. I'll see how that goes. If it's another mug off, the show will hemmorhage viewers. Read this forum, people are switching off in droves.
