There is another fundamental difference between the two breeds - people that became celebrities for doing a job like acting, singing, sports playing which requires skill, hard work and often training and those that are famous purely for presenting a heightened image of themselves.

One set need to be employable which means having a half decent reputation and that is something they won't want to risk. Generally, people in that category have either spent years or even decades building up a good career and reputation which they don't want to throw away and they are just doing this as a nest egg or they have royally screwed up in the past and want to rebuild their careers by coming across well on a reality show so again, will be careful about what they say and do - or at least try to be. They won't want to be constantly getting their tits or cocks out or making offensive remarks. Also, they're mainly in settled relationships so will show respect to their partners by not slobbering over other housemates.

The people from Geordie Shores etc are famous purely for being as outrageous and confrontational as possible and probably have a very limited shelf life fame wise as there is no actual talent which can develop or mature like an actor. Therefore they have nothing to lose, and arguably a lot to gain notoriety and money wise by being as in your face as possible on these things.

Hence the huge difference in how they treat it as a professional gig - which is what it is at the end of the day - a paying job.

Of course, they might also have only been hired for these shows in the first place because they are unpleasant, exhibitionist, shallow, loose morons.

Bear would either have me on the point of murdering him, or having a nervous breakdown (or both). I really don't know how they've persevered for so long - no amount of money is worth that. Like you say, it's painful watching them, never mind being locked up with them. They are the hideous dregs of society, and I don't find them entertaining at all.

Imagine it, 24 hours a day with them. That's 1440 minutes and I bet each one would drag. No escaping them not even in the bedroom (the loo is about the only place you'd have some peace), But not being able to go out for a walk to get away from them, no reading a book, watching TV or listening to music to take your mind off them.
