It is a late night adult show. God knows how you coped with the last series when you consider the antics of Ryan/Hughie and Laura/Marco. It only represents a small part of the highlights show.

I've enjoyed watching Bear wind up the miserable bores in that house. The show would be utterly depressing without him.

I'm not British, so your notion of "banter" isn't in my wheelhouse. But I must say, I find that most of the disgusting behavior, statements, etc., on Big Brother always get claimed to be "just banter?"

My conclusion? "Banter" is a feeble excuse to be a rude and disgusting person, and a means of excusing that rude and disgusting behavior.

After this year, I fear that the programme cannot be saved. It's gone beyond turning the format around. The only way it will survive and flourish in it's current vein, is by shunting it over to MTV, or some other moronic channel with an easy-to-please, equally moronic, target audience.
