The best thing EE have done is bring back Ricky for Jack
I think bringing Ricky back to Walford has done Jack the world of good as a character as we are finally seeing him be a parent. Yes, we've seen it before, but there is no third party (for now at least) as Sam is out of the picture.
Anyone else agree? |

I think that bringing Ricky back has been quite good for Jack, but mainly because he's a been a dick since he came back and reunited with Ronnie, especially to Roxy. As soon as Ricky came back, everyone forgot that Jack was going to have Round 2 in custody wars, and Jack became a nice guy again.

Had Ricky even been mentioned before he turned up with Sam, so she could dump him.
I think this was another example of Eastenders playing fast and loose with rejigging past history. |

I think Jack ought to seriously consider starting to beat Richard, it's the only way for discipline and order to be instilled.

you mean since she had him and did the DNA test while on the square and it turned out to be Jacks and not Ricky's as she hoped?
Jack chose to have nothing to do with Ricky |

I think this is the best Jack has been written,it beats pretty much anything we saw in his last stint. We are starting to see his personality more and actually see him being a proper parent for a change. Even him and Ronnie haven't been so bad now they've done away with the constant lies and secrets between them. I am hoping for more scenes with Mick both are crying out for a best mate and Jack and Mick would work better than Mick and Ian.

Aren't Phil and Sharon interested in spending any time with Richard? I find it odd how little reaction there's been to Sam abandoning him other than a couple of mentions by Jack and even those were delayed. We didn't see his and Ronnie's realisation that Sam had gone leaving Ricky behind. Quote:
As below we've known from the beginning that Sam previously left the square pregnant with Jack's baby so no re-jigging of history has occurred at all
Sam was honest from the start about not wanting a child and wanted to put him up for adoption. Peggy emotionally blackmailed her keeping him. She then wanted Jack and Richard to have a relationship but Ronnie wasn't happy and put pressure on Sam to leave the Square. Sam did get 30k out of it but you'd have to be stupid not to accept such an offer. Ronnie was more in the wrong there. Sam would've been driven away by Ronnie's control freak ways either way so she might as well have got something out of it. This is why I am lenient with Sam for being a 'bad mum'. Besides it's not like Jack has been any better with the kid. He ignored him for years and didn't even want to see him initially when he and Sam came back to the Square. |
