That was a really silly thing to say. It wasn't porn, but it was definitely not art.

Exactly - but because it wasn't Bear saying it in an aggressive manner, it's not funny apparently!

They can be if that was the original intent. But Page 3 was just soft porn for the masses.

She's not bitter in the slightest

I'm actually surprised at how much I like her.

Both can be considered art and both can be considered porn.

I agree, it wasn't art and was very much denounced at the time. But compared to what Chloe was doing tonight and does for a living in her video stuff, it was tasteful and not offensive.

There is a huge difference between becoming famous for doing a mainstream, topless photo shoot with god knows how many people around to topless poledancing and simulating (or actually committing) sex on National TV

Fact is Sam Fox was Mary Poppins compared to this stuff.

She's was an arstit in the 80s for sure, she made enough money through page 3 that she was able to buy 30 million of her own records, not bad huh

I like Sam ,but was surprised how affronted she went over Heavy D's remark of ''You started all this Sam'' in reference to Chloe exposing her Boobs for all to see .....She'd have come across better with a laughing ''Piss Off you '' kind of remark

I remember a joke about the difference between 'nakes' and 'nudes*' and it it was that 'nakes' had staples in them.

I do think that describing any Page 3 as art is a streach but it is still different to somebody just performing a topless pole dance in public, especially when being filmed on National TV.

Hardly. I don't like Heavy D but his saying that was not sexist, just possibly personally offensive to Sam and i'm sure she is used to it given the campaigning which went on against Page 3 as an institution at the time from feminists and the 'moral majority' that argued that seeing a topless girl at breakfast would turn all boys going through puberty into rapist's.

Actually, that is possibly why she is sensitive about being compared to the female reality stars of today and also the awful attitude the male reality stars seem towards theses women + basically that they are toys purely there for their amusement. Take Bear's declaration that he could kiss Marnie anytime he wanted to and the only issue would be upsetting his friend Lewis. Did Marnie not have a say in it? Apparently not, if they Lewis was okay with Bear kiSsing his toy, then that was fine.

She took that a bit seriously didn't she?
Heavy was only joking with her.

But in a way, if you think about it, Heavy would have been right even if he was being serious about it.
Maybe we do have to thank Sam Fox for the current culture we have where you can be a celebrity based on your physical desirability?
If Sam didn't become a national star then it might not have been as viable a career move as it is right now.
I'm not speaking from a moral position, I'm just saying it how it probably is.
