Sam's life has moved on so much, she's clearly frustrated and sensitive that no-one will let her forget her past, constantly defending it and reminding people of her amazing, so many million records sold - singing career! She must have known there was the potential for the odd stupid comment in there, but Heavy D did come close to lighting the touch paper!

Lots of parents start their kids of on these paths.
Sometimes even into petty crime.
Once Sam realised that this was all she was known for she started to turn her life in a different direction.
Her figure is still fabulous all natural. She doesn't want or need to flaunt it .
She's not used by men and doesn't use men.
She prefers women and to her it was no more than posing tastefully nude for artists.
Chloe has simply spent nearly a hundred thousand to make her available to men .She just strips off anywhere.
Marnie is bizarre being bisexual.
Don't ever member anything about Sam stripping off for the fun of it .Art? nothing photographic .If a nude can be tasteful she was the nearest thing to it.”

Biggins, is that you?

I thought it was deadpan humour.

You seem to be trying very hard to squeeze a few extra pejoratives out of this. You should have just stopped at lewd, which it was.”

We have different opinions on sex it would seem. The adjectives fit fine

Cheap and nasty vs. playful and saucy are two completely different 'modes' to my mind.
Playful and classy = sexy
Basic, cheap and obvious = nasty
Raw and primal with no finesse = dirty

There's a place for all these modes and they can transition into one another but there's definitely a distinction, to me at least. There's also a myriad of options in between with lots more adjectives to suit but I'm trying to work here

The key to someone like Sam is that you've got to own it and I feel like she's a touch snobby when she should embrace it for what it was.

Well, much as you and I found it lewd and un-sexy, there's no denying that she was being playful. Think about it.

Some good points...although, what do you mean about Marnie? Just curious.

I think she said 'art' in a deadpan way, however I could be wrong. If you compare her to the likes of Chloe, she was far more tasteful. Yes, she got her boobs out, but outside of page three she was not acting like that, she seemed to have been quite mature.

Agree that Chloe's intent was probably playful but her execution was pure trash - gyrating your plastic inflatables around a phallic pole v a topless photograph of a smiling girl next door. Think about it.

Sam is still selling calendars and DVDs of her posing topless in years gone by as well as selling her worn corsets and other items on her website. She does get singing gigs and has had more hits than I realised (I'd no idea she had three top ten UK hits) but I think the bulk of her money is from the fact she was a topless model.

Ahh, didn't know that - in which case much easier to just acknowledge it was of it's time and paid the bills!

What? He just meant with gluesticks and glitter. He'd make pretty shapes like stars and smiley moons to make the pictures look all pretty.

This is the sort of thing Tony Hart and Morph used to encourage us to do back then, I'll have you know...
