From Celebs out of their comfort zone to REALITY TV stars IN their comfort zone!!

CBB used to be about seeing Celebs out of their comfort zone, in an everyday capacity.

It was intriguing to see how they were day to day.

Now we have structured reality stars IN their comfort zone, creating fake romances and dramas and NOONE is buying it

It's chaotic, it's thuggish, there's no intelligent stimulating conversations, we've heard nothing interesting about the other celebrities lives.

In fact the gruesome foursome have taken over so much they've pushed the other celebs into their shells. They're no longer willing to engage or play the game

This could well put off actual celebs from entering be house in the future.

I think you have just summarised the whole problem with CBB of late with one sentence.

Exactly. They're not celebrities. They're professional reality tv stars. Which makes them so uninteresting to watch.

I know some people think they're entertaining. But the thing is, they're just doing what they do on their other shows so it's pointless. There's nothing voyeuristic about it as it's just their regular act.

So you now welcome Heavy D into your crew of dullards? Strange, because only a few days ago he was being hated on here.

Yet you are all still watching and creating thread after thread about them.

You keep saying this. How do you know they're all still watching?

The might just be keeping up here.

Also, personal question, are you Bears agent?

Of course we could all turn it off - but I, like other longterm BB fans we look forward to each series in the hope that this time it might be different, might be intelligent, might be the entertainment we used to love.
Yet every time it just gets worse and we are disappointed again. We continue watching in the hope that good prevails and the smart interesting characters eventually succeed.

We complain, in the vain hope that someone will hear, and do something about it...

Please give us one BB without reality "stars" give us talented people with an established career and intelligent stories to tell!

Yes that's exactly it. People on here keep saying " well just turn off then" but why should I be forced into doing that by a bunch of thick chavs. I've always loved BB and it saddens me to see it reduced to this by a few vacuous fools who are no where near being a "Celebrity"

Op sums it up quite succinctly.

Unfortunately the comfort zone of Sam and James is to sit on the sidelines watching the other housemates.

BB can't be continuously creating tasks to prod the housemates into doing stuff to fit in the HL shows, they need housemate who can do that themselves.

It's easier in civilan BB as they have thousands of applicants to sift through at auditions so they can pick the ones who create their own drama.

In CBB there are housemates picked because they are "names" and will generate a bit of tabloid news interest on launch night. The show needs more than that, especially now that CBB has been extended in length. Celebs from structured reality TV shows are a easy option, ready to perform straight from the packet.

Bit in commas, (sorry lappy broke I cant make it bold
In previous years that was the case, but I felt this years civilian BB didn't have one "ordinary" member of the public.
It appeared as though everyone was cast through agents
I wish BB would go back to the old style auditions and put Joe public in again.
I agree that reality stars are the easy option these days and generate more money for BB.

Maybe opinions on Heavy D are changing now he is no longer trying to emulate Bear and Co.

I want to see real people
