Hashtag #LG5 seems to be the one used ready for Gaga's new era

Anybody else excited for this? I'm feeling incredibly optimistic and what with speculation about new music within the next month, even more exciting

Yes, Gaga still cares about her music so I'm hoping we get a good album out if it rather than what Britney has come up with so far. Gaga usually delivers the goods, Artpop was my favourite album of hers, and the song Artpop is one of my favourite songs of hers.

I agree - I loved the song 'art pop' such a same it didn't have its own release after 'applause' with some remixes and acoustic version. I am expecting a more disco electro sound I guess stylistically similar to confessions on the dance floor. I think this would be a wise move and direction.

Mark Ronson says its her best work so I think it might be similar to Amy Winehouse stuff. Its time for Lady Gaga to come back and slay!

Lady Gaga is considered passe by a lot of people now.

It all started to fall apart when she released "Born This Way" and the public began to see through her contradictions and hogwash. Her music seems to have taken second place to her attention seeking antics and she rarely get's spoken about anymore so I can't imagine this new album selling half as much as people say it will.

Back in 2008 you couldn't turn on the radio and tv without hearing about her. In 2016 it's the complete opposite. If it sells as much as Artpop did, i'll be very surprised.

That would be working with Tony Bennett going on a world tour, winning a Grammy etc?

Or appearing in the 2015 Oscars and singing a tribute to the Sound of Music? Singing a song up for an Oscar in 2016?

Moving into acting and winning for AHS Hotel?

Some attention seeking antics going on there which seem to be working for her

I personally think she (or her PR team) have played it brilliantly. The public were getting sick of her after Born this Way (I like that album personally) and especially Artpop and even when she teamed with Tony Bennett people still slated her. But she has managed to stay very much in the public eye whilst still winning awards but the costumes have been toned way back, the speeches toned back, the hair and make up still crazy at times but that is Gaga and not as wild as before. People may consider her passé but if she manages to pull this off I think it'll be amazing.

A little like Taylor Swift. She seemed to be everywhere up until recently and now people just seem sick of her and turned against her

I think leading up to artpop people were a bit sick of her, she was overexposed, and made the dangerous mistake of believing her own hype. It really didn't help when she insisted her release was going to change the face of music, she was like the male version of Kanye.

Fast forward to now, things couldn't be more different, she's been pretty anonymous the last 18 months in comparison with the previous few years, no hints or indication of even when no music is coming let alone what it will be like.

It appears shes confident this time to let the music do the talking, and ive every confidence in her.

There's nothing she or any other singer can do that hasn't already been done before. There's nothing she or any other singer can sing about that hasn't been done before and when people talk and compare her to Madonna and David Bowie they don't mean it as an insult, what they're saying is 30 years ago that's what people saw the first time round. A lot of young people act as though this is the first time this kind of artist has existed and the theatrics and the performances are all new ot them. It's already been done, and it's been done by those far better.

I can only imagine it must be younger people that literally fill their lives with what a celebrity does, someone they've never even met and likely will never meet in real life. I think most people over a certain age are just worried about paying bills and staying healthy rather than worrying about people on the TV they'll never know in real life. It's really not that important.

I'm extremely excited and by the sounds of it, she is going to release her lead single this month. I have a feeling she is going with a completely different sound and look this time around. It seems like she is more in control of her career these days and the jazz album was a testament to that. I think her new management have done well to reinvent her and I look forward to a more mature Gaga who puts the music above the outfits and antics.

I genuinely hope the new single is good, but I'm not sure what to expect. I hope the last few years have humbled her and she knows what she has to do now.

Lead single 'Perfect Illusion' is produced by Gaga herself, Mark Ronson and Kevin Parker of Tame Impala, and releases September http://pitchfork.com/news/67618-lady...r-mark-ronson/

I cant wait to hear what she has created for this album

Its funny people say she is over or old news, like all artists they come and go with different albums and times in their lives

Much more excited about Gaga than I am about Adele, Britney, Rihanna etc its Gaga all the way for me

Not much of a Lady Gaga fan but she has some good songs and her working with Kevin Parker from Tame Impala is intriguing. They seem to be in vogue right now with pop stars. Rihanna covered one of their tracks on Anti now LG is getting in on the action.

I'm looking forward to hearing the new single. ARTPOP wasn't that good an album. I only really like about half a dozen songs from it so I've got better expectations for this one. I think her commercial peak was 2009. The Fame/Monster was one of the most popular albums of that year and to me it's still the 'sound' of early 2009 Born This Way was a decent album but a bit pretentious and messy in spots.
