Initially, I think Renee wanted to have the bad boy under her wing - she wanted to be the one to sooth and control the grizzly bear and be the one he gave attention to and deferred to. Now she knows Bear, she probably feels totally embarrassed she gave him the time of day. I think her affection for Chloe was genuine, she seemed quite protective of her and wanted to sort her out with some good advice. Chloe admits she broke that trust with Renee and Bear certainly did, not something you get a second chance to do with Renee, it would seem. I think her fury towards Chloe is because she sees her as so far beneath her but she got to have control over Bear. Chloe is really flaunting that and winding Bear up and setting him on Renee, which is adding to her fury.

- Agreed. There's no doubt in my mind that Renee thought he was a cute kid (not a man, mind you) and openly flirted with him. She thought he was misunderstood and likely wanted to try and "tame" him. When that didn't happen and more of his personality was revealed, she backed off. He was terrified of her and she would have eaten him as a midnight snack. Yes you're right and Scarlet's posts have described it very well. I think some are missing this point deliberately in order to be able to lay into Chloe and be incredulous that anyone could be jealous of her. Maybe this is how all jealousy works. It's not that you want to be the person, it's that you want what that person has. In this case though with Renee it's about feeling humiliated and scorned and embarrassed and finding it difficult to deal with so she deals with it the only way she knows how, threats, intimidation and masses of passive aggression thrown in for good luck
