He can be funny on the odd occasion whereas Helen wanted arguments and shouting all the time and I can't remember her having fun at all

I agree. From the little I've seen this series Bear is more likeable than vile Helen.

I would have rather have been in the house with Bear because I would have ripped his head off verbally by getting in his face and subjecting him to a barrage of the most vile and disgusting insults you could imagine.
