nonsense is doing my head in.

I seem to hear it repeatedly on BOTS.
We just don't get to see how the others would interact without such an attention grabbing moron in there.

As far as we know there might be some hilarious deluded characters or personality clashes with the egos in there but unfortunately all we're getting to see is the same boring horribly domineering thuggish behaviour.

I think for example Sam fox might be a little goldmine if she felt comfortable enough to show some of her personality. Did anyone see her on that show a few years back where she managed a bar in a club. TV Gold!

Can we please get the thug moron squad out while there's still a chance to turn the remainder of CBB into something fairly entertaining.

But didn't Sam Fox act like a moron in The Club? At least Bear didn't hit anybody. Strangely, it's like she's on tranquilisers now.

Happenspretty much every year, they put some attention seeking clown in there and give them all the airtime, ignore and edit out everyone else .... then people marvel about how while golden balls might be a ****, they are sooooo entertaining, and everyone else (who never get shown) are sooooo boring.

The last thing people like that need is their ego massaged, yet BB does it every time.

Sad part is we'll never know what could have been.

We do know that they film whole tasks they don't even show if there's been some argument or 'sexy time'. If you removed the knobsquad from the equation it could have been a classic series instead of an annoying snore-fest.

Maybe that's the producer's answer to every one wanting to leave, up the medication

But the OTHERS are BORING. Sitting on the fence and not getting involved - apart from Rennee and Heavy. At least Bear has realised we want to see drama, even if he does take it too far. Say he goes... will the others come alive? I very much DOUBT it.

Past experience of Big Brother tells you that when you vote out the big housemates, you're just left with a particularly dull snooze-fest

Soon as Bear and Marnie go, you're probably going to see a lot more tasks ... But tasks are just filler for when there's been no story ... Unless you get someone being KOed with a sponge

People just never learn that you need people you like and people you hate to make an interesting show ... Just the same with any TV drama ... James provides 0 to the house, and nothing for editors ... People are idiots

what does Marnie do, she just sits there whispering sweet nothings to that plank of wood with the Hugh Grant wig on?

I can't stand Bear, however, without him we would get to watch everyone sitting around, chatting about nothing, all happy and talking etc. As when Bear isn't in the room and well away from them all, what are they all doing? nothing at all.

I am sure Renee would just be knitting, and Colin wouldn't be getting on anyone's nerves

at the moment they have a common enemy, without him/them, they'd turn on themselves, albeit in a more subtle and interesting way

What are they to get involved in? An orgy? Goading Heavy? Throwing & wasting food? Getting naked? Pushing their breasts in someone face or grinding another bloke who has politely asked them to stop? Deliberately making loud noises In the bedroom in the early hours?

We didn't see the first party or much of the second one (Bear put a damper on that by being annoyed that Chloe was nominated - SOMEone has to be nominated, that's the game). We didn't see the Biggins conversation that got him into so much trouble. We didn't see the conversation between Frankie & Kate when they won the task so they let all housemates go to the pastry. We didn't see Saira's mimic of Chloe until after shore was evicted. We didn't see any of the conversations between "Stephen" and Saira when he spoke about his family. We didn't see the conversation where they decided to go into the diary room en masse.

There is likely to be hours & hours of unused footage of them being witty, fun, amusing, serious and so on. I'm sure Frankie has been funny at times, I'm sure Sam has told some stories from her middling or singing days. James has probably told anecdotes about callers to his radio show. It's just that WE HAVENT BEEN ALLOWED TO SEE IT!!!!!!!!

Yes. BB chose to show what they showed, just as they always have done. We've not seen anyone else so how do we know who did what? Same old, same old. How can we possibly comment when we've had the edited version of what BB wants us to see? Pointless really,

Disagree mostly.

There's plenty of characters in there who are capable of delivering a decent show. Sam's a bit full of herself, renee takes no prisoners, aubrey's a bit snide, frankie could be annoying, james could be forthright, even ricky and katie could kick up a stink.

Trouble is they're all united against team knobsquad who are unruly, selfish, ignorant, provocative and arrogant. That's the part of the show I don't like, they're too much.

Get them out and let others have a chance to be people instead of constantly moaning about the injustice of it all.

The majority are offering nothing to the show, If it wasn't for Bear shaking the house up a lot of the others would be content to just bore there way through, collect there money and go back to here ever they came from.

If you like HMs sitting around chatting with some of those chats so heavily edited before they get interesting then fine, we all saw what happened to Biggins when he spoke about anything controversial.

it is possible to have very interesting chats without making holocaust jokes

Agree, that was way over the top.

But that's the fault of BB.

Bear is like Marco, supremely confident and determined to be involved in every little possible situation. He's terrified something more interesting will happen and so he quite deliberately and annoyingly railroads any discussion into confusion and despair. Marco was exactly the same , thankfully he left in week one and look how that house blossomed. Nearly all the housemates came out of their Marco induced Catatonia and the series improved.

This has come up in other threads, so forgive me for repeating myself.

I feel that we would still have a fine show with the idiot thugs and airhead chavs

BB, maybe more so in the C4 days, used to be experts at creating tension and conflict amongst an otherwise sane group of people. Tasks and secret missions usually. Resource deprivation, e.g. shopping budget or "today the garden is locked because so-un-so broke a rule" would probably work too.

Add in plenty of booze (so many nice folk can't handle their drink and turn into monsters under the influence) and I don't see why we need anyone like Bear to make the show, or that it couldn't be equally as entertaining without his types.

Fair points raised, but that could also apply to BB showing Bear a lot, no-one is blaming BB for it's editing they are all blaming Bear.

btw the way I didn't see Marco.

Every other CBB has done well without him so why would this one be any different?

I would prefer to watch a documentary about a monkey colony than watch the squad. Far more interesting and better conversation. A long time BB fan, I've now accepted that BB is produced for a target audience that likes to watch trashy scripted reality stars faking everything and acting like the drunken dregs you see hanging around town centres in the early hours. I've stopped watching HLs until at least 2 of the squad are gone. If it doesn't happen I won't have missed anything I wanted to see.

I blame BB for the amount of coverage of bear and the showmances. I know there's a lot of indignant criticism and some of it is just hot air but I think BB have seriously underestimated how fed up a lot of dedicated long term BB fans are. Now maybe that's a deliberate ploy to get rid of those fans and draw in the generally younger mtv reality brigade. Might blow up in their face. Younger fans are generally very fickle and easily lured away by brighter shinier more outrageous shenanigans. They won't stay loyal.

Pssst... Can I tell you a secret? Putting "fact" at the end of a sentence does not make it true.
