Yes, I know Caz can be a bit extreme at times and has an obsessive streak BUT it is getting really annoying watching Sophie trail Kate everywhere, ready to give her two cents worth as soon as Caz messes up, just because she is mad for Kate. I wonder would she be so involved if she didn't fancy Kate? I hate these storylines when Sophie is after a girl, she really stalks the hell out of them, same with Maddie, she just HAD to go to that soup kitchen everyday and be all sweetness and light. She's just as bad as Caz in my view.
I know Corrie is going to obviously get Sophie and Kate together, but I just won't be able to get behind them due to Sophie sticking her nose in where it's not wanted in other people's relationship problems.

Kate tells Caz she didn't know her mother, but neither does Sophie but its okay for her to be supportive for some reason. Sophie's attempt to act caring feels fake as you know she just wants someone to warm her bed, and even tried to use Kate's high emotions to get into her flat (which I bet was for more than just coffee).

Kidnapped and imprisoned by Caz.

8 weeks just isn't long enough. Why not just have her meet a girl normally instead of forcing it all of the time, with contrived cr@p? She's such an irritating character, yet we are all supposed to be happy to see her and Kate getting together. I always said making Sophie a lesbian should have just been a phase, or at least bi. She would be better suited to Luke and it would actually give him something to do. Making Sophie a lesbian just hasn't worked, instead we have to deal with her sticking her nose into other couples, with the hope of splitting them up so she can jump into bed with one of them.

It would make a good comedy though, especially Caz trying to act psycho and Sophie screeching.

Maybe acting psycho is going to be Caz's forte!!

After all, let's face it, she's been woefully crap at acting everything else so far!!

Caz should stick Sawfy's pegboard where the sun don't shine!

That was creepy as hell, She basically stalked her then moved her into her house and entered a relationship with her

If she had been a male the whole street would have been thinking 'Wow that is weird, She was basically moved in to be seduced and taken advantage of because she had nothing' but because it was St Sophie everyone was ok with it

What I hate is Sawphie's attempts at lustful looks toward Katie. She puts on this gormless slack jawed expression as if some Maths professor was trying to explain what infinitesimal calculus was to her.

With a mother like Sally wouldn't you be deranged?

I used to like Sophie when she was younger and much feistier, when Rosie was there (although I hated Rosie).

Did Sophie ever go back to help at the homeless shelter after she enticed that vulnerable girl in to her bed?

Maybe this was partly because I hadn't watched Corrie for 4 weeks, but on Friday I thought Sophie looked a bit like ED's Debbie Dingle.

It's possible, but if so it's never been mentioned.

Actually, the writers are always doing this, setting up 'events' so that a meeting can take place to advance the plot, and they never get mentioned again.

Deirdre and Ken joining a Spanish night class, so ken could start an affair with Alma

Ken becoming a school governor so he could bump into Wendy Crozier again.

And umpteen football/cricket/bowls competitions against other pubs which no-one ever does again. Despite apparently buying the full kit for each.

Personally I think people are a bit hard on Sawphie. Thing is, if she got no action at all DS would be the first to complain about it, (like poor sexless Finn on ED), but as soon as she has a chance at finding some lesbian love she's accused of all sorts of Machiavellian behaviour.

Ultimately, as irl, through sheer lack of numbers, gays and lesbians will always have less choice of partners than straight people and as Corrie are never very keen on filming off-street, people like Sophie will always be required to fancy any occasional lesbian who happens to turn up on the street (or on a homeless shelter set).

BIB: I thought that's the whole point of this storyline, isn't it? Sophie and Kate are clearly going to get together as a proper item before long, so what's the problem?

Caz needs to go and get a life somewhere else and stop hanging around stalking Kate and looking daggers at Sophie who, as far as I can tell, far from being predatory, has been hanging back waiting to see how things pan out between Kate and Caz, which is not what your post would seem to imply.

Sophie's lovely and Kate seems like a nice girl .. they'll make a sweet couple once Caz has got the hell out of Weatherfield.

Because it was obvious as soon as a new lesbian arrived on the street that she was earmarked as Sophie Webster's next squeeze and that predatory Sophie would be after her and getting her claws in at some stage.

Sophie is predatory. Remember Jenna? She lost her job whn Sophie kissed her. Remember Maddie? Sophie trailed all round Weatherfield after Maddie eventually moved in with her. Kate was engaged but it didn't stop Sophie making a pass at her and kissing her did it? Kate never goes to Sophie's. Sophie always goes to Kate's. Sophie is pursuing Kate.

Sophie was always glaring and saying she hated Caz. She was desperate to prove that Caz was 'evil'. Now she's done that she's hanging around Kate She followed Kate went to the Rovers and then she wanted to go to Kate's for coffee!

Sophie isn't lovely. She's predatory and just waiting for her chance with Kate.

I hate Sophie more than Caz. I don't mind Caz. But i think as the viewer we are meant to view Caz as the bad guy and Sophie as the one to route for.

Sophie had nothing to back up hating Caz and Caz certainly isn't evil. Sophie is a horrible person.
