I agree. Why did it need to include sex? They are still both being unfaithful if they are getting passionate without the quickie. They would still have the guilt, the future embarrassment, the attraction without going the obvious route.

My post might have been just a tiny smidgen of tongue in cheek but really, Maria in the last 8 years since losing Liam has, as I said earlier had just six sexual partners, counting Aidan, sounds a lot maybe, but when you consider 3 of those were, for her, long term relationships which ended through absolutely no fault of her own!! Jason was her fault, fair enough but it's easy to see how her & Luke have drifted apart!!
For someone with her looks & her past track record, she has grown up beyond recognition in those 8 years & it is so unfair that people are still classing her as some sort of slapper because of what she was like over 10 years ago!!

We could be heading for a Caz & Aiden both after Maria 'love triangle' even after Luke potentially dumps Maria.

They did have quite a bit to share about missing people they had lost ie Aidan's Mum & Liam. Both had died tragically and in a sense through avoidable incidents.

I wondered whether Caz would notice anything had happened between Aidan & Maria. Aidan looked as though he had not yet buttoned up his shirt properly by the time Caz came back. Mind you, when Caz feels bothered by anything, as she was about her unfair accusation about the flowers for Kate, she seems comparatively oblivious to other people.

This storyline was part of what invited me back to Corrie viewing after a few weeks away in the light of Kylie's exit storyline. It felt so appropriate that Maria was the opening character for my comeback episode.

From how she acted on Friday and some spoilers I've heard, I understand that Caz is beginning to want them to be a couple.

From what I heard, she ran out after she found out that Johnny had slept with the woman who was Carla's mum. This led to her (Aidan & Kate's mum) dying in a road accident.

Rhea Bailey did say on Lorraine a couple of months or so back that we would see a dark side to Caz, especially after she makes a new friend. So, if she experiences a 2nd rejection - from Maria - just weeks after her rejection from Kate, her fake injuries could be a picnic compared to what might now follow! I've heard rumours of a Single White Female plot. (This would incidentally please me, as I like Bridget Fonda. )

He still does at times even now. A lot of it came flooding back when Carla spilt the beans about him being her real dad to Aidan & Kate. As you may be aware, Aidan took the whole thing especially hard initially.

I'm really looking forward to this storyline, I hope it's written and acted well. It will be interesting to see how far they take it. Unfortunately I think Ozzie may be a casualty of it.

What is good about Corrie is that they do take care to make sure most of what happens represents life in a real community. They therefore handle most things sensitively. Unlike Emmerdale where they concentrate on escapism and Hollyoaks where they have bizarre plot twists.

I do think Maria has better chemistry with Aidan than she does with Luke BUT I don't like the way they both cheated on their partners within hours of having a couple of tiffs and I also think there should have been a bit more flirting, lingering looks going on long before this to make it more believable. I can't even remember what he was doing at Maria's place anyway as I don't believe I've ever seen them in a scene together before but I could be wrong.

they have shared a few scenes lately, maria was at Johnny's flat warming party, they have had a few scenes in the rovers too.

I like Maria being included with the Connor family and being given a more central role.
