Not at all, I stated in another post how much I loathe how this programme has degenerated into utter filth. This is not the bb I want to watch and I won't be going out of my way to watch those other programmes you list. I just hope Emma treats Bear with the same amount of disgust and contempt she treated Chloe with.

I would imagine not watching the series and then interviewing the housemates, impartiality would be so much easier for anybody? Watching it is more likely for her to have favourites. And she does ok in being fairly neutral, imo. She's only human. But, I think when it comes to interviewing Bear, she's probably going to be not that relaxed, a bit cold, and as practical as she can. People will call her out on that too. A combination of Nelson Mandela and Mother Theresa would lack the patience of dealing with this monumental prick, come interview time.

We'll just have to agree to disagree. And Chloe did raise her voice. Yes, she was all about defending herself from such an 'onslaught'. But, by god, she'd sit there on her arse and watch Bear be mean to people in the house and laugh about it with him later. Awful girl. And she's deluded if she thinks they are going to be a couple later. I wouldn't be surprised if Bear makes waves between him and Lewis next and makes moves on Marnie, seeing as they and Chloe all hammered their nails to the mast of immorality. I don't buy that Emma loves CBB so much she'd forgo better offers, if there were any better short term offers they'd have to be weighed up against long term job security of BB.

Don't blame the people who appear on BB and CBB. Blame the people who paid them to be there. It's hardly going to be a surprise that Geordie Shore and Ex on the Beach people are going to misbehave, that's what they were paid for on those shows and it's what CH5 expected and paid them to do on CBB.

But more to the point, and what this thread is about, if you are hired to do a job - interview in this case - then do that job well. Ask questions, listen to answers, move on with interview.

NOT ask question, answer question, interrupt answers, make up answers yourself and act as if the downfall of Big Brother is Chloe's fault.

I don't think Rylan is more objective (but, only my opinion). I like Rylan but, he is such an arse kisser in interviews. I don't think I've ever heard him ask housemates about their awful behaviour in the house - is that being impartial on his part? Emma is not the greatest out there on the circuit, but she does something right for the work to come. You may be right about her weighing up her offers and long term prospects - but, I think she could ditch BB and still do very well for herself. Rylan, I'm on the fence with.

This isn't the first time I've seen you referring to Emmas as 'old'. I have no idea what age you are, but 40 isn't old.

Perhaps this is why we are getting contestants of the calibre of Bear, Marnie, Lewis and Chloe on the show lately - the age demographic has become more skewed towards the under 30's.

Also, it is Emma's job to reflect the general consensus of the voters when interviewing an evictee and the general consensus wasn't good. She may not always get the tone right (I thought Georgina got off very lightly during her interview, for example), but she's not an automon and therefore, her own opinion will inevtably seep in somewhere. Davina did the same thing on occasion also.

Emma is getting praise from many here simply because a lot of posters happen to agree with her stance. They want to see her act unprofessionally and carry out an uninformative interview and would prefer to see her corner the HM and give them a ticking off for their perceived behaviour in the house, simply to have their own bias confirmed. They would certainly not feel the same way if Emma was dealing with their chosen favourite in the same way!

Interesting perspective, I always find him serious and on point in interviews. Imo he does make the point about behaviour but does so tactfully, e.g. saying "some people have said that your behaviour is out of order" rather than moralising like he's their parent or teacher a la Emma Willis.
