No need to rig it when almost the whole wheel had her face on it.

I wondered similar - especially because of the way they played a bunch of camera tricks whilst the wheel was spinning, slow mo crap and lots of cuts to renee's face, which would nicely mask any unnatural movements as the wheel was starting to slow.
