Good morning Europe and Canada! Good evening Australia and New Zealand! Good whatever time of the day it is North Africa and Western Asia!
It's been 80 editions, of which we, the tiny nation of Andorra, have participated in 78, and we have achieved two second places, but finally, we have taken the trophy and with it come the rights to host this edition of DS Fantasy Eurovision, here in Andorra la Vella, the capital city of Andorra, who will be the 3rd smallest country ever to host the contest.
But let's not forget why we are here. It's all thanks to the duo Fuel Fandango, who stole the show and won the DSFE trophy on an astronomical scale with their fantastic song "Salvaje"," which we will be playing and hearing a lot because we're tiny Andorra and we may never win or get the opportunity to host again.
However, we will not be alone in our hosting endeavours. We have enlisted the help of Wales, who finished in 2nd place with Casi's "Lion". While Wales may not be hosting the contest themselves, they will be assisting us with hosting and with the finances.
But enough of that, let's get to the details of this contest, hosted in Andorra la Vella.
We would like to make this contest as extravagant as possible, with balloons and everything. The contest will be half picks, half random, which basically means that the good country you receive will be based on a list you send, and your bad country will be allocated randomly. Want more details? Read on.
Upon signing up, please send me either:
- Your list of top 5 good countries (see below for the good countries to choose from)
- Your intent to have your good country chosen randomly as well as your bad country.
When you have done this, you will be given a notice that your sign up is counted, and a bad country which is given to you randomly. This gives you more time to find an entry for the more challening country you receive.
In the spoiler below, you can see the 28 countries we see as 'good'. More counties can be added if we have more sign ups, and we are open to suggestions for countries that should be moved to the good country list or away from it. A note to people that putting a microstate on your picks list does not increase your chance of getting that country, so don't try it.
For anyone who is unfamiliar with the rules, or needs a recap, have some rules regarding entries and artists and the like.
Your entry cannot exceed 5 minutes in length, but the video can.
Your entry cannot have been released before 2005.
Your entry must not have charted in the UK Top 40. Other countries’ top 40s are allowed.
Your entry must never have participated in a Eurovision national selection, or Eurovision itself.
One of the singers on your entry must have either been born in that country, spent a significant amount of their life in that country, been a permanent resident of that country currently, or have ancestry links up to grandparents and no further. If a link is unclear, please provide evidence.
Covers are only allowed if they adhere to the rules above.
Your entry must never have been entered before, so please check the Wikia, magnificently maintained by AxG, to ensure your entry has not been entered in previous contests.
As with previous contests, we will be handing out ghastly countries after the sign up deadline. Depending on how many sign ups we get, a certain amount of countries will be handed out at 7:00PM each day.

As an additional treat for all of you players for being lovely and granting Andorra their first ever win, we will be providing you with multiple features to enhance your enjoyment of the contest. For one, upon the posting of each round, there will be a question for people to discuss if they wish. You don't have to, it's just an idea I had.
Also, our contest will have the theme of exploring! So while you will be exploring the music scene of the wonderful Macedonias and Moldovas we have to offer, we will be exploring the past of DSFE. So, to all the aspiring explorers in Andorra, enjoy!
