Thank god she's leaving awful character played by a mediocre actress.

I do think the title should be changed it is a spoiler tbh

this fits in with the dream i had that Roxy was the only adult female mitchell left in the square, and Sam Mitchell (played by KIM MEDCALF) came back and bought the vic after meeting a rich sugar daddy.

Aw no!! This news makes me sad, but I would agree with the article that she needs to be rested for a few years. As long as she isn't killed off, Ronnie is one of my favourite characters. I wonder what Jack will do when she leaves...hope she gets a happy ending with Matthew, being able to be the mother that she always wanted to be.
Best of luck to Sam Womack

So... what was the point in bringing Jack back?

Shame her exit wasn't linked with Andy stalking her. Good on SOC for having the bottle to axe the big characters as well.

I don't think a character leaving is a spoiler if it's been announced in the news. I think it would only be a spoiler if the news hadn't been announced and was a shock twist.

DTC brought him back. SOC no matter how you look at it has axed Ronnie. So maybe he will axe Jack too.

I'm not sorry to see Ronnie leave, to be honest and she used to be one of my favourites. I think she'll be arrested for killing Carl or she dies = Phil gets Ronnie's liver?

She doesn't deserve a happy ending. Hopefully someone has the guts to grass her up and everyone including precious Jack finds out what she has done.

I can't even remember who knows abut Carl now and not to mention poor Fatboy

Good riddance. Bad enough character the first time around, but her return has been awful. Let's hope she take Roxy and Jack with her!

A DTC decision, like everything else, pointless

Good news. Ronnie has been going in circles for years, and Sam Womack looks totally bored half of the time. I wish the writers had had the guts to make her a full-blown villain (which is the direction she seemed to be heading in 2013/14) but nevertheless, the character ran her course some time ago.

Kill her off and let her leave in a blaze of glory.

YES! So happy about this. Now Jack please. The less Branning's the better.

Digital Spy now have this on their homepage and its not in spoiler tags so I guess that means I haven't broken any rules?

Hope they kill Ronnie off to be honest there is know where left for the character to go, she has already been to prison and came back and ended up killing Carl White and played a major part in Fatboy's death, the only way for Ronnie to leave is in a box.

There was no point.

DTC and Lamb even said they had to keep it secret for six months, as if anybody actually cared.

Surprised by this. SOC being quite ruthless already. Buster, Pam, Les and now Ronnie.

I like Ronnie and Womack, but they ruined her a bit by having her murder Carl then the Fatboy farce.

DTC has ruined quite a few characters by making them murderers, sounds like SOC is trying to ground the show again.

Please tell me the door is open for a return if Samantha does decide to return?

Ronnie is a fave of mine so I am gutted and saddened by this

Maybe Andy comes back for the Exit. Is Ronnie about to get her comeuppance?. Right time to go for me. What will happen to Jack.?

Good Actress but was she axed?

Should Roxy go too?

It's a actress leaving so not really a heavy spoiler, don't worry about it, everyone has to start somewhere, in future best to put something like character to leave (spoiler)

On Ronnie leaving surprising yes, I guess SOC just couldn't see where to go with her, brave decision really, she a big character, I guess Jack and Ronnie won't get their baby after all.

Makes Jack's place on the show a bit shaky.

It wouldn't shock me if Roxy did go too.
