More than happy to be classed as a big old prudish dullard, Blondie if this is what we're supposed to find entertaining.
You're description of him is bang on.
I love practical jokes on BB when they are actually funny but I also like interesting conversations. We're getting none of this, it's become, imo, a bit seedy & grubby. I'm beginning to question myself as to why I'm still tuning in.

I think people forget this is big brother and celeb bb not civilian .
It's meant to be fun . It's not like he put soup over people's clothes or something that would be worth the vile. But this is nothing to get in a twist about .

Heavy will lick n it up if need be . No dramas

Isn't it just. I've watched BB since day 1, series 1 and I'm certainly under no illusions as to the fact things will never go back to what they used to be. I pretty much gave up on civilian BB a few years back and expect nothing better from the C5 era than TOWIE in Borehamwood. However, CBB was always a bit more of a mix. My mum watched it as it had people we all knew and got to see another side of. Nowadays though, the civilian and celeb versions are indistinguishable. They're both full of tacky, chavvy, cheap, nasty little wannabes who think the world owes them a living and have no idea how to mix with anyone outside of their own self obsessed little bubble

I posted this on another thread and I really do think it sums it up for me

Quote:
“Yep. There has always been sex, drunkenness, arguments and pretty bad behaviour in BB but that was only part of the show, not the whole damn thing. Nowadays, it's all so contrived, so sleazy, so sordid and just so grubby and cheap. It is all some of this new breed of professional reality tv show types have to offer. They have o conversation, no wit, no charm, no charisma, no personality, no class, no dignity, no self respect - nothing. Half of them can't take a pee without it being scripted for them.

Most of us are not asking for them to sit round in smoking jackets quoting Oscar Wilde but any sort of discussion deeper than 'f**kin wikkid geeza innit' on subjects more interesting than their genitals, fake tan or how drunk they got would be more than welcome”

It's absolutely scummy behaviour that a 9 year old would find immature.

Would it be ok to walk into a hotel reception and pour a ti of soup over the floor? After all, its only a bit of fun isn't it? How about an old peoples home? Primary school assembly? Hospital ward? Where is the line as to which shared area is ok to make filthy and which isn't?

Its accommodation that is being shared by other people that he has chosen to mess up and cause inconvenience and distress to others deliberately. What part of that is entertaining and hilarious?

My point is that you seem to think as long as it wasn't poured over other people, that makes it ok so I'm just asking where you think the line of acceptable is drawn?

Your post on another thread, Blondie. 100% agree.
What ch5 are serving us as entertainment is a joke. I'm actually trying to recall an interesting conversation or a laugh out loud moment from this series & I'm stumped.

Well if someone came into my house (& let's face it, it is 10 peoples home at the moment) & poured soup & tomatoes all over the floor, they'd be out on their ear.

If someone did that in your home, would you think you overreacted if you got p***ed off?

I love Bore threads because the Bore apologists are great At least we can get a laugh at them, as he is about as funny as piles.

And that line just about sums up the chavvy element of society that Bear comes from who don't give a sh*t how their actions affect anyone else as long as what they do exactly what they want to.
Its about having respect for others, having consideration and understanding how ones actions can have an effect on those around you. But then having those considerations would involve giving a crap about anyone else which he quite obviously doesn't.
The fact that people seem to find his behaviour acceptable is breathtaking imo

I'm sure if he actually took a dump on the dining room table while the others were eating a Sunday roast, the apologists would be fighting over themselves to be first to say 'whats the harm? He's only having a laugh. it's not like he actually crapped in their diner is is? It's only a table'

I'll tell you what would be comedy gold. Bear is taken to the DR when very large security guard hands him a bucket and a mop and escorts the twerp to the bathroom, then stands there, arms crossed until the floor is cleaned.

It will be interesting to see who ends up clearing it all up. Not Bear I'm sure, unless BB makes him.

Anyone would If it were done in their own home, but it's not there own home, it's the Big Brother House where normal rules that apply to you and me and non existent.

Big Brother are allowing it to happen, so blame them. Bear will push the boundaries until he gets told otherwise.

It's all done for outrage in the house and outside the house and Bear is getting both ways isn't he.

I don't even find Bear all that annoying now to be honest, I just find him a bit pathetic. He's not all that interesting really, it's just desperate playing up to the cameras and attention seeking. There's nothing else there with him.

The best thing they can do is to ignore his behaviour and let him burn himself out like you do with naughty, attention-seeking children. I hope he gets punished.
