Looks like I underestimated Rolling Stones album. I really thought it was going to be heavily frontloaded and tail off sharply towards the latter end of this sales tracking week.
Have you listened to the Stones album yet? It channels the original 60s vibe of the band, a surprising renaissance. But you're probably only interested in the numbers.

Look at the Stones go.
1 Rolling Stones - Blue and Lonesome (95.8k) * 2 Michael Ball & Alfie Boe - Together (59.4k) 3 Little Mix - Glory Days (47.2k) 4 Elvis Presley - The Wonder of You (45.6k) 5 Olly Murs - 24 HRS (34.3k) I'm wondering if the XF performance of 2 album tracks will affect their sales significantly or not, with everything going on that night. And I really want them to get a victory lap montage of the last 5 years for their anniversary of winning. |

It also helps that the Stones, like LM, are on Asda's 3 for £20 offer.

Hopes dashed. Quote:
They'll perform a medley of Oops and Touch on X-Factor.
Thats from a source on another site who was 100% accurate a few days ago.Medleys work great when you can just include the best parts of each song but I wonder how this will work when neither is familiar with the public. |

LM will be performing Oops going into Touch on the XF final tonight at 2130 GMT. Its going to be livestreamed ww on the XF Facebook site. They did the livestreaming for SOTMX in Oct. and I think it really jumpstarted the global streaming on Spotify.

I'm sure it would be announced that "LM will be performing TWO songs". Allegedly they have a 7 minute time slot so both will be in full.
Here is the YouTube livestream link with a time countdown for the performance. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HXYCwMr9dfM |

Tuesday update
Top 5 Update Missing data from Monday: Spotify streaming, Apple streaming Singles: #1 33.8k Clean Bandit feat. Sean Paul & Anne-Marie #2 26.4k Louis Tomlinson & Steve Aoki #3 23.1k Rag'n'Bone Man #4 22.2k The Weeknd feat. Daft Punk [Starboy] #5 21.8k Matt Terry Albums: #1 54.5k Michael Ball & Alfie Boe #2 41.8k Rolling Stones #3 36.5k Little Mix #4 33.8k Elvis Presley #5 29.5k Olly Murs LM the only female album act in there! I'm trying to figure out how much Touch has sold. Yesterday combined it was .2400 or so of Matt, and it did have around 100k streaming. |

It's also worthy noting that Touch rocketed up to #49 on Spotify based on yesterday's streaming figures. It climbed over 180 or so places which incredible (99% of the time the biggest daily climb on Spotify will be between 10-20 places so this is a huge jump).
Oops is also #96 on Spotify. On iTunes, both songs are top 10 combined although in the official chart this Friday, Touch is the track that could sneak into the top 10 if Touch shoots up again and manages to go top 10 in the next day or two. For now, Oops looks like it's going to be a low top 40 entry but with potential to climb in 2017. |

Yep I updated with the streams.
#10 +2 SOTME 218,476 #49 +136 Touch 103,527 #96 Oops 58,924 I'm not *that* impressed by Touch, as the sales are low off the Top 3 at the moment. We'll see how well it climbs. In comparison and I know the situation was different, SOTMX roared out with 10k in the last 3 hours of Sunday, did 24k the next day and then 21k the next. It was already at over 400k streams by the first full day. Touch is post album though. |

That's the thing that needs to be considered.
Glory Days has already sold over 200k in three weeks, so that's a lot of people who already have Touch and Oops. ...but its still great that Touch is doing well on Spotify. It will be interesting to see how much higher the track can climb tomorrow. |

True. Maybe it can be like SLS, when that came out it was just before GW went Platinum, yet mostly thru streaming over the year it became their second Platinum single.
Also I have a bias because I'm just not blown away by the song.

Have to admit, I actually preferred the Oops performance at the X Factor final more.
I can see why Touch got given such a slickly choreographed routine, but that breakdown which showed some young male model walking up onto the stage and take his position really ruined the flow of the song. So when the chorus kicked in, it felt like the momentum of the song was lost. |

Actually I'm glad you brought up that costume change! I know LM like the quick changes but they need to get a pro to teach them whats "in" right now with live theater here. I first saw this with Beautiful, and after I noticed even Disneyland is using it for their Frozen production.
Simply put, the new form of the quick change is a variation of the old magic trick and its so slick that literally the actor can turn around one revolution onstage in full view and have the costume change. Its really impressive live, and there would be no need for LM to do those clumsy 10 second run offstage things that ruin the flow. I was going to mention they should use this on tour. Its a lot of double sided costume panels and hinged panels, simply put. I got skewered in the LM thread for not being wowed by the performance but I think it was more a staging thing that can be easily fixed. The music is fine for each, they just needed a better presentation. |

LM did a livestream on MTV's Facebook and performed acoustics of Touch, Black Magic and Shout Out to My Ex. Touch sounded really great and so did SOTMX. (skip the first 5 minutes because they were late)
FB https://www.facebook.com/MTV/videos/...4306227496701/ YouTube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zt6UHXRzWMg I think the Touch acoustic is probably the one they'll perform in the US to "show off" their harmonizing, like they used to use How Ya Doin for. |

On the contrary, I thought both Touch and Oops were both going to benefit where both songs got boosts up the UK chart.
Touch is the more accessible so I'm not surprised that it's taken off so well in the UK charts. Also I suspect the music video will be released maybe this coming Friday so that could very well boost the single further going into 2017. If Touch gets a boost from radio airplay, Little Mix could still be a contender for #1 in January. |
