Tasks are a joke now.

In previous series (albeit not celeb BB) tasks had to be worked at, and housemates had to actually do something with failing a very real possibility (remember the 24hr tasks I such as the pizza parlour where at least one HM had to be "on task" at all times day and night.

Tasks now are a joke and they seem to be harder to fail than pass.

Sitting housemates on the sofa and getting them to guess who called who a slag/slapper/prozzie etc etc is not a task that's just to incite trouble and arguments.

Same with nominations, it now seems routine to play them into the house later along with face to face norms. It's just to cause trouble.

Tasks used to make HMs work together. They would help us, as viewers, see who were leaders, who was lazy, who was a team player, etc. and they were challenging. Now all they seem to do is incite negativity and divide the group and there's no real jeopardy involved, they're given alcohol and parties every night so there's no need for them to make an effort. BB need to bring back the 2/3 day tasks and be strict with the rules.

I see no point in doing the tasks if some of the housemates don't take them seriously. Bear doesn't care if they have a luxury or a basic budget, he'd throw the food around either way. What's the point in trying if the reward is ruined anyway?

ETA; I should say Bear and whichever other housemate is under his spell at the time.

BB needs to go low rent and provide trashy, bitchy tasks because BOTS would have sweet f.a to talk about.

They are pointless as far a house budget goes as BB gives them all the food and drink they want anyway.

They are however good for the odd bit of conflict they can cause but that's it.

Well said!

They don't even warrant being called 'tasks' anymore, they are so pathetic along with the equally pathetic production outfit! They are so incredibly lazy, they may as well just go home! It's obvious that they haven't got a braincell between them and just can't be arsed!

BB production philosophy of today: Throw a grenade in and hope for the best possible argument. Anything else: Nope, it involves far too much effort, thought and work.

This is why the whole lot of them need booting off the show, to be replaced with a new team that actually give two shits about the programme.

This is just the second CBB I've watched.

There's tasks???

I used to LOVE the 24 hour tasks in the older series, where at least one housemate would have to be awake all round the clock for whatever reason. Wish they'd have continued that kind of thing.

Instead, it's just easy, quick tasks that are meaningless.
