Seeing as only BB has any influence over the actions of Bear (and probably Heavy at that time, as he does what he's told by Bear at the moment - again), then it was BB's responsibility to ensure the mess would be cleaned up and the danger removed.

I also feel that the producers have been receiving some flack with regard to what's been going on. They seem to have decided to show their tellings off of Bear (which it's been mentioned several times do happen but we rarely see). The audience have felt that BB has been biased towards Bear to the point of protecting him, so perhaps they are listening to feedback from some quarters.

Or not of course, it's just the impression I got by the mere fact that suddenly we are seeing these talks with Bear when previously we weren't.”

Ch 5 still won't get rid of him though as he is their cash cow so I do not think there have been too many telling-offs .

I agree that his relentless baiting is now tantamount to abuse and ch5 has failed in its duty of care towards the others who have been terrorized by the lack of sleep and relentless goading , and Bear now has the somewhat challenged Heavy D aiding him.

This is intimidating , relentless and abusive towards the others .

My wish is that one or all of ( especially the American) HMs would sue for breach of this duty of care and for encouraging this hostile environment .

The series has become a celebration of sociopathic infantile behavior .

And maybe it is time to call it a day.

Catching up on the Olympic news this morning and it's highlighted just what a useless excuse for a human being bear is. Seeing people who have worked hard and achieved great results is a pleasure to watch after seeing someone who's sole purpose in life is to act like a complete moron and piss people off.

I don't the remember it but it should have been cause to be warned about.

Baiting to the extent that it has gone on especially where HMs like Renee have constantly asked to be left alone - can be construed as intimidating behaviour.
The HMs are clearly ground down by it and can't be themselves.

Can you imagine how mundane and horrifically boring the show would be if he didn't? They'd have to put some new housemates in.

Not that old hairy chestnut again.

The show is horrifying and boring all because of the actions of the unstable foul moron Stephen Bear. He has destroyed this years show for me as a viewer, and I can only imagine the torture the other housemates are enduring having to live with the disgusting idiot

It can't be that bad if you're still watching

Don't get me wrong, I don't like the man either but I dread to think what the show would be like with Sam, Ricky, Katie, James etc. In fact, I just wouldn't bother watching.

I was the same with Perez, Farah Abraham...a lot of people hated them, and I didn't like them as people either, but imo they kept the show lit.

I watch because I am a BB fan and also in the hope they will toss that ar*eh*le Stephen Bear out.

They can't sort it out though can they? There's absolutely nothing they can do, try as they might, he just turns into Jonny Rotten. "That's nasty, very nasty" - he won't enter into discussion over it, ignoring him doesn't work, they can't threaten him... What can they do?

And the meantime, there is no footage to show other than his antics and them trying to deal with his antics. It's all we see.

Nothing he's doing is against the rules... But come on, the audience still has to be provided with a show and the show is supposed to be an ensemble. Forget the 'rules', they're not laws of the land, just rules of a gameshow. Sort it out. They've cautioned him over 'goading'. Make the next one a final warning and make it clear any further goading will mean removal. Make that very clear. That's not unfair is it? It's giving him the choice.

It is SO boring. I love big brother, I've always loved big brother, I won't bail on it. If it's the bear show till the end I'll keep watching it... But I'd just rather it wasn't and I think the vast majority would too.

I think his behaviour is quite intimidating and provocative, sociopathic at times
They ask him to get out of their space and he follows them out.

One of the better things in the concept of CBB (of the past) is to hear about the lives they live outside the public eye and yet we get to see or hear NONE of this - because of sociopathic behaviour of one individual , sometimes aided by an easily manipulated ANother .

An utter WASTE of their fees as it could be anyone-off-the-street in there plus Bear - it would make NO DIFFERENCE whatsoever as no one really gets a chance to express themselves.

The show is boring and so predicatable with him. Why bother watching it when you know that it will be the same crap that Bear regurgitates all the time? Each and every episode consists of him: goading people, getting in people's faces, spilling food/household items. It's like having your favourite movie on a constant loop for 20 hours. You can predict what will be happening tonight without tuning in.

Not sure why Renee could sue Big Brother, surely she would be suing Bear for putting it there in the first place. It's like someone throwing around oil everywhere in the streets then blaming the council for not cleaning it up.”

Doh, not heard of Health and Safety, ie work place.

I would put Heavy D and Bear in a room with a pseudo task for a party and put the others in the spare house, get the professional cleaners in to take care of all thne the mess then let them back. I expect after 24 hours of a special task Bear and Heavy D would implode. Alternatively, put Heavy D back with the others after say 8 hours and leave Bear alone for the next 16 and watch him drive his own self insane

Emma mentioned that she doesn't watch at night as gets upset and I realised that's what its done to me : far better to watch in the morning. If this is the effect of just watching it - imagine their having to put up with insane, incessant goading - with nowhere to get away from it except the weekly disappointment that the reprobate is still in .....they might be needing some counselling after that..or some PTSD symptoms will start manifesting....

IF CBB or BB has lost the plot of the original mandate i.e. that it was a social experiment - perhaps someone will make a show of the effects psychological fallout
of subjects, after being willingly confined with such goading, primitive and anti-social behaviour

When SOTS showed Jayne going into the camera runs - the filth was just - add to that the smell and waking up (if one ever got to sleep) to the shouting by some very socially-challenged HMs ?

How? You can't reason with a **** like Bear.

As others have said cleaning up is a health and safety issue. Cooking oil on the floor is slippery. Not even these inept producers are going to run the risk of someone falling and breaking their neck.
