Aaron has never (and probably never will) wear his heart on his sleeve. He and Robert are never going to be Ste and Harry or Todd and Billy, because they are very different men (apart from being in a different sort of soap).It isthe first time Robert has ever had lasting deep feelings for another man, and even though he has told Aaron he loves him, Aaron never reciprocates, and given Robert's character, he probably wouldn't want to embarrass himself or Aaron. They just know their feelings without constantly having to express them.

I think on the whole, gay pubs are there for when you are looking, not when you are settled. I'd be more concerned if Robert or Aaron always wanted to go to gay pubs, as it might seem they were looking for somebody new.
