Do you think that if Aaron is injured it's nothing too serious then? I'm just trying to work out if people (press, duncan, kirsten ect) would be painting it as positive just because something good like a proposal came out of it? I mean that's nice at all but if if Aaron was seriously injured or it caused him to have some long term illness or whatever i'd hardly say them getting engaged or having some romantic scenes really makes up for it. It's still an awful situation. So maybe it's not really that bad a situation if people seem to be mainly focusing on the positive romantic stuff?

i hope its more like robert thinks aaron has maybe fallen into the quarry, or been involved in the serious incident or somehow badly hurt but is so relived when he finds he isn't, he just realises that he could never loose him

Emmerdale and Corrie are on the same network but made by different companies (Granada and ITV Yorkshire respectively)”

Emmerdale and Coronation Street are made by the same production company (ITV) just out of different offices; Leeds and Manchester.

I;m keeping an open mind. I still don't want to really commit to much to the idea of a proposal or the idea that Aaron gets injured/hospitalised. We just don't know and could be totally off base.

I suppose it's possible that it is just a really lovely mutual 'I love you' or maybe even two or three - one before the 'edge of the seat' stuff - all sweet and lovely - and one (a few) after when they're both OK(ish = no serious/life-changing injuries) - all desperate and longing. Cos you know what they say - mutual heartfelt* I love you's are like buses, you wait ages for one and then three or four come along at once

* rather than those throw away ones which temporary pairings (cos they're not couple are they?) have at the drop of a hat

Yeh i wonder if it is just an ILY? I think the actors and press know it's been anticipated so wonder if that is what it is? Just a ILY? I say "just" but obviously that's great and something we've been waiting for.

Welcome back Kirsten! We've missed you

I would love a proposal/wedding. That would be the best thing ever but trying not to get my hopes up.. As long as ED live up to their funny/romantic promise all will be good when it comes to Robron I'm easily pleased

The production company that makes Corrie is Granada.

I actually wouldn't want a wedding yet, a proposal I could go for (as long as they have a long engagement) because I'm always a bit wary about people getting married only a few months in to a relationship (and I know they've been on and off for over 18m now but they haven't actually been together-together for 6m yet which I think isn't really long enough to make a life-long commitment to someone).

I think we, the fans, make more of a big deal out of the mutual ILY than the press so I'd be surprised if it was just that.

And if you consider other soap couples, Aaron and Robert have been through a lifetime of emotions together that's given them a bond far greater than other couples might have in less than 6 months so I don't think an engagement is too soon or rushed or too fast. Look at Adam and Vic, they got together in January 2015, engaged in March, married in June and they're solid. A quick engagement doesn't always mean doom! Plus, because Robron has been a long running plot I don't think an engagement would feel rushed in the grand scheme of things.

oh yes I definitely agree about them going through a lot in the past two years which is why I wouldn't object to a proposal (actually would welcome it with open arms) but do think a longer than normal (soap) engagement would still be a good thing (i.e 3m+). Although am sure I'd get on board the marriage train no bother when it actually comes in no matter how long it takes to pull in to the station because, well, it's Aaron and Robert isn't it?

Inside Soap:
2. ROBERT’S REVENGE!
There is nobody in the world of soap who can whip up an evil scheme quicker than Robert Sugden. So when he overhears Chrissie talking about her adventure park launch, he sees the perfect chance to take revenge for her treatment of his brother. Will he really send Chrissie plummeting to her death?

Its ITV. ITV Granada and ITV Yorkshire are just the regions... Both soaps are still made by ITV. Trust me. I know.

For goodness sake - have Inside Soap missed the point entirely?????? Robert doesn't (only) want revenge (yet) he wants to clear Andy's name - how on earth would Chrissie dying help him in that???
