they are filming christmas already??? i thought they filmed only 6-8 weeks in advance
I think they are just writing and discussing the scripts. I assume the Xmas stuff is recorded in October or November. Depressing thought though that during July I received the Xmas order list, from one of our suppliers, complete with holly-based "specials" on one of the hottest days of the summer, and being warned to "order early".

Backstage vid? Have i missed something?

It's what he is wearing in the Kelvin vid/s though.

I loves it. I will be well peeved of Liv cuts it up.
The blue jumper is good. Aaron looking relaxed and happy and wearing the blue jumper is very good. Do not cut it up.

Liv has my permission to shred the green one. She'd be doing him a favor.

He filmed one a few weeks back walking down the corridors asking us all what we wanted to see in Robron's future, whatever he was wearing in it was a jumper we hadn't seen before.

edit they posted it on emmerdale's instagram
Does anyone have a link to that vid?

I think maybe big or special sls (don't know if that includes Christmas) are recorded earlier than that and maybe out of sequence. Didn't Danny record the February reveal ep in November last year? Perhaps if there is something like that, where there's a lot more than the usual goes into it, or maybe some sort of 'spectacle', which might mean the October stuff is already filmed, anyone know

Episodes are written a good couple of months before they are recorded, so that the director and cast and shooting schedule and what not can all be organised in enough time for it all to be filmed quickly and efficiently. So if Christmas is filmed in October (which it usually is) the scripts would need to be written about now. Bear in mind scripts also go through drafts, which need to be edited and checked over by various different people before being signed off by IM. They would have been planned and storylined a couple of months ago. All in all, from story-lining to airing I think it's around a 6 month process. Which is why it took so long for IM episodes to air even though he started in January. Everything seems to be at it's normal schedule.

Once we get closer to Christmas they start filming a little further ahead but that is only to allow them all to shut down production and to take a 2 week break over the holidays.

FGS There is a limit to the number of times you can say you are "offended" and you have made this point very plain over several posts. How many more times does it need saying?.

Just as a matter of interest I heard some time back a radio phone-in on dental health, and a dentist on the programme (they named her but obviously I can't recall her name), complained about the lack of dental hygiene in the U.K. and actually said she preferred to see her more orthodontically challenged patients either early in the day or late in the day as there were some sights she saw that was not conducive to lunchtimes.

Does that offend you?. If it does, I have to point out that none of the calls she received during that programme challenged that remark or found it offensive. Perhaps you are a little too sensitive and take throw-away remarks too seriously?. Meanwhile you will, I am sure, excuse me if I don't waste any further time responding to your complaints.
Yes and there is limit to how many times you get away with speaking in the manner in which you do ! I am not interested in a programme. Can you not deal with someone who is offended ? We all can be offended by certain things and I am no different and I would thank you to stop making me out to be over sensitive etc.You have a particular way with words which means you are able to speak in exactly the manner you want, whether it upsets people or not.I don't expect you to agree with my points but a bit of respect would be nice.Feel free not to respond to my complaints,as you put it.I will also feel free to post my thoughts on posts

The post you quoted was from a discussion sparked by Lmack objecting to Andy saying the "gummy" appearance of little Amelia would put viewers off their dinner. Now Andy and others may think that comment in good taste. But given the nature if it, the language used and the age of the target no one should be surprised that many others don't, those that don't have the right to object esp as it breaches forum rules.

Nice use of capitals btw, I always like to be shouted at on here.

Moving on, not a fan of Ryan's current do, he suited it better how it was at the start of the year.
Yes this and the constant use of words such as little brat, puerile, ghastly every time she (or other kids) makes an appearance seems rather strong to me

Let's hope that they're still together and can actually spend Christmas together for once!

I wonder if you used to be a steeplechaser?. You always seem to be first to take offence.

I'm sorry, but I do find your constant sniping a bit boring. I accept you can say what you like, and I reserve the right to do the same thing, but it gets trying to have to decide what might or might not cause you to be offended.

The reason I quote is because I like to make it clear what I am talking about. These constant flare-ups do nobody any good, so may I respectfully suggest we ignore each other
Andy, it's like we are on the same wave length. A wise man said, "You have every right to be offended but that doesn't make you right and don't cry when no one cares." Well done Ricky Gervais!

Me too.Sorry to have upset you but I'm seriously fed up of being treated in a particular way just because I voice my opinion or my upset at something

Its not you, I just don't understand why the nastiness or funny comments start when their's a disagreement.. it just fuels things & its uncalled for.
