There will be interview with all main players in the big soap week
Including Danny. Re: Iain being too Hollyoaks, I don't think that's the case. They are vastly different shows but there is nothing going on now or ahead in Emmerdale that doesn't fit with the show I feel. Plus, has anyone watched Hollyoaks recently? It's actually pretty good and I think it reputation is a little outdated. Anyway, big stuff coming up... You must know if we'll be or with the outcome.....

It's a fair and pragmatic view - perhaps a little too pragmatic for soap (Aaron didn't want his dads money,I doubt he'd want Robert's), but I suspect Robert is gay, and that his possible bisexuality is a great big red herring (hence all the breast-beating on here over the past several weeks). In my own life I have known a bloke who had a different girlfriend every month for about 8 years, because he was trying to convince himself he wasn't gay and was just looking for the right girl. Then he found the right bloke. Robert might accept his own sexuality but wouldn't want to make a public announcement of it. I am sure some legal document could be drawn up between them, but you can be certain, if these legal nicities were to be mentioned by Robert (I don't think it would even occur to Aaron) then you would have everyone saying poor Robert had an ulterior motive.

I personally could see them getting married alone and not even telling anyone lol.
I wonder if they will even tell anyone they are engaged, if they do get engaged that is. Quote:

I really like Hollyoaks, I think it's really good. I don't think it's fair to use it as an insult. There are times when I think it's actually better than Corrie or ED. |

I agree, especially recently. Some really hard hitting and well written storylines. The days of Hollyoaks being a bit of a farce are long gone imo - at least for now anyway!

I wonder how a producer even gets hired. Fair enough if you are a well known tv or soap producer, as you have a track record and are known in the field, but when it's examples of people being promoted from within or less senior people being poached from other soaps ect, i wonder what actually happens for them to get the job. I mean would they just interview whoever applies and pick whoever presents the best vision for the show? Is it as simple as that?

The POV week was brilliant! Hollyoaks was the best soap that week imo
Man, soap actors and crew work so hard and so many hours and the writers are usually on point. All 4 soaps do an excellent job as do the dramas like Casualty etc |

Sometimes people apply, sometimes they are sought out. Like any job I suppose As you'd expect, they ask me all the time but I'm so dedicated to writing spoilers that I have to politely decline

Me and you can be friends. I don't like soap snobbery. Hollyoaks has a younger fanbase and relates to them well. It deserves better recognition.

I agree, especially recently. Some really hard hitting and well written storylines. The days of Hollyoaks being a bit of a farce are long gone imo - at least for now anyway! Lets be frank about it every October 17th/18th (which in the country is known as "St Luke's Little Summer) is like Eastenders New Years Eve - some over the top melodrama, which results in somebody getting killed - probably murdered. The daft thing is if you lived in Emmerdale you would go on holiday in October and in Walford you'd go on holiday over Xmas/New Year. It really insults the viewers intelligence to try the same tricks every year at exactly the same time and not even one of the villagers even comments on the extraordinary coincidence that Carl, Cameron et al all died in the same week in different years. No amount of hyperbole, PR spin or anything else can disguise the poverty of imagination.

How interesting, I wonder if its like each episode during the week is dedicated to one particular story.
Quote:
Oooh sounds interesting, will the couples be assigned an episode each? Then at the end of the week they will all come together? Really cant wait for all this, everything sounds amazing
![]() ETA andy is on same wavelength ![]() I have faith, they have built Robron up into a super soap couple, they wouldn't blow it at the first chance, plus it wouldn't be in Emmerdales best interest ![]()
