Nice!

What is the thought process that one goes through to come up with Spoon?
I think the trend for outlandish names came up with the Beckhams and vulgar "reality" TV(sic) stars and pop singers. Another time another place and it might have been Leytonstone Beckham.

I suppose "Spoon" makes a change from the endless "Taylor" or "Paige" toddlers one sees around.

Well I am looking forward to stunt week. To be honest if an actor like Adam Thomas has decided he wants to leave having him run out on his family or go on the run like Andy is not the solution. Its better he is killed off at the conclusion of a dramatic storyline.
NOT if the actor is not leaving by his own choice though. Leave the door open. Not everything has to be about death. If that's what you want just take a look at the London Evening Standard website: there is not a day in London that doesn't have a shooting or a stabbing or somebody killed in a road accident. Today there has been an earthquake killing over 70 people.Emmerdale, or even Hotton is not London though, though I suspect Hotton is twinned with Soho.

After the police question Lachlan he accuses Robert of messing with his head but learns something that could cause him to switch his loyalties - what's on tv mag.

I'm guessing Robert revels what chrissie did to Donnie, I wonder if Lachlan starts plotting against her or will he be more likely to harm himself?

The horrible thing is we know "Chrissie" is safe for at least another year, so God knows what OTT "stunts" will be arranged to accomodate her.

Ooh I bet Roberts gunna tell him Chrissie sent his dad away and not to contact also her threat to put a hit on him could come out too! I think only if they were on a redeem mission they would have him switch sides. Would love that to happen (switch sides) would scorn Chrissie even more especially if Lawrence then backed his grandson rather than her and she's be on her own hahaha *evil cackle*

Completely disagree. I watch another soap where no one is ever killed off when they leave. Likely its for lack of money. They are all given these incredibly open ended exits where people just up and leave children and parents and are never seen again. The character's don't even go very far away. It leads all sorts of continuity problems. Characters don't show up for weddings or funerals they don't phone their minor children even though they are in the next city. Also very weird storylines where someone might never be forgiven by their family for a minor crime but these same people can forgive rape or murder committed by a stranger. Worse than that sometimes you can't even tell if someone has actually left or just gone for a few weeks on holiday. Not a single viewer is fooled by this. At times it looks completely arbitrary as to what is considered a serious offense and what is not.

Unless you get a commitment from an actor that they are likely to be back at some point or you are willing to recast pretty quickly some people are going to have to get killed off. It brings finality and ending which I think is needed just from the point of view of telling a story.

Donnie being brought up now can't be a coincidence can it. If they just wanted Robert to manipulate and con Lachlan they can certainly do that without Donny being mentioned. If its just a throw away mention I'd be disappointed frankly.

Agree. This is very similar to what I said a few posts ago, punish the bad behavior but reassure her that she is very much wanted and if she feels upset again, to come to Aaron or even Chas. Easy peasy!
Seems to me Liv is insecure. Aaron's told her loads of times that he wants her around & has had to reassure her time & time again!!

Danny on set today - http://pbs.twimg.com/media/CqjBt9nWIAAdrnv.jpg
She got a pic with Tom too.

The person that posted it said it's Robert's car in the background and 'they had just been filming'.

Danny and Ryan (squint a bit) - https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CqlPdIzXYAAWHT6.jpg
Seems someone has ripped Aaron's sleeves off in that first pic!! LOL!! Good weather for outdoor filming today!!

I have to get down to work at 7, so just a quick one. In real life, especially working in a shop you suddenly realise you haven't seen somebody for weeks. Simple answer: they are not dead, they have moved away. This is even more likely with young characters. Most of life is an unfinished story to outsiders.

Secondly, with respect, go back to your first comment. Substitute "Danny Miller" fr "Adam Thomas". DM decided to leave in 2012, imagine if Stuart Blackburn had followed your advice - there would be no Aaron and no Robron now.

Now for me three hours of work: for you potatoes Charity and God knows what else. At least I can edit the naff bits out. Good evening everyone.

but do we could her 'contract renewal' be all part of the subterfuge like Ross leaving just saying ... anything is possible

Now THIS is a theory we all need! They've done it before, like you say with Mike. They even got him to fake-tweet about job interviews

No. I'm suggesting that in the hot weather that we had oop norf yesterday it would have been akin to torture wearing a suit .

Still I bet he needed a long cold shower afterwards, I'd have happily scrubbed his back .

I can see that to a degree but that doesn't mean you don't punish the behavior.

The repetition of a SL (her bratty behavior) coupled with the majority of viewers that are not vested in it, means it is time to change it up some. It is so boring.

I honestly don't think it could get any worse than last nights episode. Absolutely dire. Even Aaron was acting out of character - more forgiving than Ashley - where has the fire gone and the look of thunder?
I think ED is trying to show the new happier & more chilled Aaron. Having said that, I don't want the edgy side to his personality to totally go either. I think it is still there underneath, but as he's happier right now, he's more chilled.

Except that people on soaps are not just like your customers in your shop who are strangers they are related to each other. So if you haven't seen your spouse or your kid for a while it would be odd to be unconcerned. . Especially if they leave for some reason like they've cheated on their spouse and decide to run off not too far away. That would be an exit Adam could definitely come back from. But what happens if Adam Thomas doesn't decide to come back and they never recast. You could have a storyline going on for many years where Vic, Aaron, Moira and Holly have all vowed to never forgive Adam ever again while forgiving murderers and people who've committed other serious crimes.

What if you have three or four storylines going on like that all the time so that actors can come back. At some point I want closure for a storyline- not everyone who leaves will return.

I'm sure you would random and apparently England had its hottest day of the year so that would be a lot of scrubbing
