Living arrangements in ED are always a bit weird and wonderful and implausible. Why would it even be an issue?

Do you have a problem with Aaron living at home or something? It's perfectly normal for people in their early 20s to still live at home, I did when I was Aaron's age (I paid my own way) unfortunately with the current government's bedroom tax and other cuts many don't have a choice.

Does Aaron strike anyone as the type of person to free load of his mum? I always take it as a given he pays his way and helps with the mortgage. Apart form anything else he is a Dingle, Dingle rule 101 "pay your share, everyone puts into the pot" we saw Aaron being given this lesson by Zak and Lisa years ago.”

Because unlike Diane Vanessa's father is a complete stranger to Chas. They've never even met before. If the pub is sold in like a month or so as theorized he would be buying half the business solely as an investment. I know its a soap and implausible things happen. I don't understand why you would buy half a business as an investment and agree to one quarter occupancy rights so that your business partner's well off adult children can live there.

Well he will be well aware of the arrangement before the deal is made and if he isn't happy he can buy another pub.

Chas didn't have occupancy when she bought the pub btw, she lived with her mates in a house share and Diane wasn't happy when she decided to move in as occupancy wasn't part of the deal they made.

Or he can just move in and request that Aaron and Robert leave and Chas can be unhappy just like Diane was. It would be an unenforceable arrangement, if he owns half the property he owns half the property.

I don't have a problem with that. I do have a problem with Aaron and Robert living there without eventually buying into the property since they together have the money to do so. Aaron has moved a couple of people into the Woolpack in the last few months. If you act like an owner you should own. Them living there while asking someone else to buy half the property is unfair to whoever is putting up the money to run the place.

By the way has it ever been said if the pub is tenancy, leasehold or freehold?

The small money Charity and Chas put down makes me think it's a leasehold and they have signs for a fictional brewery outside so yeah it's probably a leasehold.

2. ROBERT’S HOT PLOT

You have to feel sorry for Aaron Dingle at times. He’d quite like to do some normal things, like go out for a drink. Unfortunately, boyfriend Robert has far too much plotting to do. Tonight, Robert thinks he’s finally managed to coax a confession out of guilt-ridden Lachlan. It seems his plans are coming to head!

The picture they use is one from tomorrow as it's the body warmer one so I'd say they're definitely sharing at least 1 scene tonight.”

i don't feel sorry for aaron.. i'm sure this is the exception, not the rule... robron live together and work together.. in my mind, they spend more time together than your average couple (especially when adam is away and not coming back soon lolz)

Well if they aren't renting the rooms to Aaron and Robert they would need to rent them to someone. I am not sure that pub could turn over a big enough profit to forego the money they make from those rooms.

Diane used to rent to Chas and others back in the day, its part of the tradition of The Woolpack.

I would love for Aaron to move out of the pub and not with his mum. He has a boyfriend and a sister to look after he needs his own place. But I would be shocked if he ever moved out of the pub.

I really don't think Aaron has a formal rental arrangement. If he gives money to stay there it likely is going to Chas and not Charity. I really don't think whoever owns the pub with Chas gets any financial benefit from Aaron living there. That might be ok with Charity but not with everyone who might want to buy in.

So you think Aaron and Robert pay their digs and Chas pockets it all for herself and never puts it into the pot for bills, groceries and what not? Diane saw none of it? That seems unlikely and frankly on Chas not Aaron.

Chas and Aaron are Dingles and they swear by their money pot.

I'm leaving this here, I don't even know how this dragged on for so long lo Sorry to everyone else on the thread

No I think that Chas uses money to pay for grocery and bills. But no its not a market rate rental agreement where Chas and Charity are making a profit by having someone like Aaron and Robert live there. Yes Aaron covers his expenses for staying there, but he's there mostly because Aaron is her son Chas loves him and wants him happy. She's not making a profit from him being there. And yeah I think that arrangement could be a problem for a person looking to buy a pub solely as an investment, someone who is not related to or friends with Chas.

This can't be a coincidence now, there are literally romps, nakedness and snogging sessions in every episode now. Apart from Robron of course.
