I've watched since day one, every episode and every after show, I'm finding this series as one of the worst.

I guess its the same way people watch a football match where their team plays $hit and loses. They moan about it and say they wont go next week but they always do.
Maybe its routine , maybe they do subconsciously enjoy it , maybe they enjoy moaning , there are people who enjoy moaning. maybe theres nothing else on the tv , who knows ?

Maybe they are just happy today, which is refreshing considering all the grumpy posts I am seeing this morning

Or maybe they choose to watch a programme that they love and comment on the disgusting and repellent behaviour of one of the housemates.

Seems some on this forum, whilst happy to throw smart arsed remarks at others, have failed to grasp the concept that all viewers comments are welcome on this forum as long as they abide by the T&C's.

Personally I watch just because I have watched BB since the very first one. I am totally addicted and a die hard BB fan. However this one is making me have second thoughts and if future BBs or CBB are as bad as this one I do think I will be turning off. Still watching this one in the hope that common sense will prevail and the voters will get rid of the trash so we can see some more interesting interactions between the HMs. Also perhaps a bit more of the tasks. This series we have seen very little of the tasks.

I watch in the hope that Bear will get his comeuppance.

(However thanks to BB greed and lack of balls from BB & HMs that hope is fading fast)

Agree, and anyone who cannot cope with the forum rough and tumble and having their idol widely disparaged can always take it up to the AT area.

Wall-to-wall adoration and positivity for everyone who enjoys that kind of thing.

I understand where the OP is coming from, "Why watch if you don't like it?" but its not as simple as that, People have been fans of this show for over a decade,

I'd watched pretty much every series and while I enjoyed some and not others, the core format was more or less intact, or at least only moderately violated.

Of late though, its like the very ethos of the show has gone out of the window in the name of cheap entertainment. Someone else on here summarised this perfectly in one sentence by saying "We've gone from Celebrities out of their comfort zone to reality stars in theirs" - to me this perfectly sums up the problems, or at least my problem with the evolvement of BB - Putting people out of their comfort zone is, in my opinion, the fundamental key to the whole thing. Take that away and whatever you have left, it ain't Big Brother!

...Anyway, I digress. Long term fans of the show continue watch in the hope that they will see a return to form. I did for many seasons, this year I have watched the first few episodes and opted out. I still keep an eye out on here in case things change (the next stage of detachment ). Those that are disenfranchised with the show are all at different stages - some of us are still watching and being dissappointed, others watch on and off, some have given up altogether.

Its a bit unfair to expect people who have been fans for 16 years to just stop watching just like that.

Really

All I can, perhaps see is that there are a lot of posts commenting on the abomination that is Stephen Bear. Perhaps some choose to view them as grumpy. I don't.

It's like any addiction you just can't help yourself and afterwards you think WHY did I do that?

He will once he leaves the house. He will be back to doing nothing, at most. No producer would take that moron serious enough to cast him in anything.

I'm like this. I'll have it on the tele but do uni work at the same time. I don't seem to be able to keep up with their goings on the tv but I get most of my info on here.

I am the same as you - not really watching and haven't done so for the past couple of years. And I get the addiction thing - that was my reason for watching the last few rubbish series that I did watch. And of course anyone can watch whatsoever they want and comment on it.

But look at the trend! Look where this show is going! Does anyone really believe it's going to return to form? They have included three scripted reality show celebs this series! Three! This is exactly the show they want! Scripted reality show celebs are, in their eyes, guaranteed entertainment. They will perform. All the other celebs are there - yes, the ones we think we want to see more of - just in case something goes wrong and the performing monkeys get evicted / ejected (the more likely option) early.

This is not going to change. We are never going to see 'interesting conversations' ever again. If you are addicted, well fair enough, I've been there too, but don't fool yourself - the show you want is never coming back, and my prediction is that it will only get worse.

Well said, we have seen little else but Lewis, Bear, Marnie, Chloe and Heavy.
If Lewis wasn't there, Marnie wouldn't make any contribution, she is quite boring.
I, like you hope they are removed asap, they are not at all interesting but childish in the extreme.
