Actually watching Bear has reminded me what a good housemate Perez was , all that in your face "Its The Perez Show" stuff and the insane rubbing his bare arse on the window while the others were in the lounge. Perez had a certain vulnerability because he didnt try to take anyone with him iirc and he just took himself on a descending spiral of personal devastation.
Wheras Bear has a sly resiliance and does ingratiate people and get people on side so he isnt isolated however obnoxious he behaves so his self destruction isnt so inevitable, he has more longevity.

Perez had a certain charm. Whilst being a pest you never got that feeling of cruelty, and of course he could laugh at himself...a must in my book. You were always aware that this was an act and that there was no bitterness and malice....same with Marc IMO.

I have to admit I laughed a few times at him, especially when he was trying to be Mafia (fuhgeddaboutit). Personally, I prefer the WUM Bear to the darker side we saw earlier when he felt he was in a position of power.

True. Marc was never violent or cruel in any way whatsoever. This Bear fool seems to be trying to emulate him in some way, but failing miserably. He comes across as totally unlikeable and I just don't get why he's popular apparently.
