That wig wasn't "the Rachel". It was definitely based on Jennifer Aniston, but the Rachel cut was much different. Just a trivial thing that bugged me.
I used to think Noel was funny, but he's just a bit annoying and Richard's bullied child thing became tedious.
The first episode was better.

Watched the first one which got better as it went on.
I can't do with obviously smart people like Geidroyc (who I do like), Ross and Winkleman acting like giggling 13-year-olds for laughs though.
They need to tone it down a bit. It gets very try-hard in places.

Ditto for me. I did, however, like that Richard and Noel were also giving semi-serious answers for once.
The mariachi band part was really good too. I got Game of Thrones right away but not the other two.

Aisling Bea is brilliant, funny, warm and genuine. I really liked her when I first saw her on the Alternative Election Night and then I met her at an Unbelievable Truth recording last Christmas and she brought David Mitchell over to meet me! It was a very special moment for me and besides being a lovely person she's easily the funniest female comedian on TV in my opinion.
Back on topic, I really enjoyed the chemistry between Richard and Noel. We all know they're old friends and this show works better when comedians who know each other well are paired up. It's just a shame this rarely happens. I don't really understand why Johnathon Ross has to be on every episode other than the fact his production company makes the show. I'm just not convinced this works as a series, and yes I'm aware they've done other spin offs over the years (80s and 90s) but in an odd way I just find it feels too christmassy. C4 have been doing this every Christmas for at least ten years now, to suddenly make a series out of it with no theme other than 'everything' seems odd. But maybe it's just me. I think having it more than once a year is a case of 'too much of a good thing.'

I did finally catch the latest one last night and it was a huge improvement over the first episode, largely down to the pairings - I do agree that if you've got two people who know each other well then it does work better.
Episode 3 would have had some potential if Romesh Ranganathan wasn't on it but we'll see. Although as much as I love his stand-up, I do think Eddie Izzard has gone off the boil a bit lately.

I preferred this week. I can cope with Richard and Noel as long as they aren't too silly. This time they took the quiz seriously, so they were good. I love Aisling; she isn't always on form but for this she was. I also love Rob. He's a lot more cleverer than he makes himself out to be. I don't mind Adam, and I actively dislike Jonathan, but neither got involved much so that was fine.
The problem the show has it has been using the same panellists since the beginning, I am fed up of Jonathan Ross, David Mitchell, Richard Ayoade, Noel Feilding etc, they need to keep it fresh with faces who haven't been on it or at least aren't regulars. Tomorrow's episode looks like it has potential.

A bit like 'First Dates' which seems to be on a different day each week. Channel 4 seem to have thrown consistency out of the window.
This was easily the best episode out of the three.
Didn't find any of the guests annoying and thought they all made good contributions, although Eddie Izzard was the weakest. Can't remember seeing him on any comedy panel type shows before and didn't think his type of comedy would transfer well but it wasn't as bad as I suspected it would be.
Thought it might be due to it being a bank holiday on Monday when they sometimes change the normal schedule and show a film or something. Have just checked the listings and that doesn't seem to be the case so don't know why they decided to move it. Luckily, I had set a series link for this show on my PVR which records it whenever it's shown.

I thought it OK, but a little bit pedestrian compare to the second episode, or the best of other series. Not bad, but no really great moments, either.
finally got around to watching it earlier and it was very good. i'd have still preferred someone else to ranganathan but he actually wasn't that annoying really.

I didn't dislike her, but I do wonder why she and Kristen Schaal were guests on this series. Neither has a particularly high profile in the UK. If you follow US comedy quite closely, you'll know who they are, but the average punter wouldn't know them from Adam.
I know Kristen. She's done Buzzcocks a couple of times and she's appeared in a couple of my favourite sitcoms. I can completely understand if you don't get or like her humour though.
Does Chelsea have a sense of humour? Are we meant to be that desperate that we should just be grateful that an American has graced us with their presence? Or is it that her sitcom is also on one of Channel 4's platforms?! She was as dull as ditchwater last time, and yet she was invited back.
As I've shown in this thread, I understand that humour is subjective, but when I see her, I just see someone who doesn't want to join in and brings nothing to proceedings.
