Denise Black is doing Panto in Eastbourne for Xmas. Looks like she will be leaving the show to do this as Emmerdale don't allow panto breaks.

Just because she's doing panto doesn't mean she's leaving. I'd like her too though, then the actress can go back to corrie.

I don't think Denise Black is a bad actor - I just think Joanie is a horrible hateful character and I'll be glad to see the back of her.

Haha! She might even be in the running to beat her mothers record!
But Im gleefully hoping this is an exit for Joanie. She never felt like a permanent character but I've been continually surprised how long they dragged this already. The Dingle's have not even felt like a family since the Christmas breakup so hoping losing Joanie at least helps bring the family back together in some way.

I’ve seen lots of posts on different threads from FMs saying they hate Joanie and that Denise Black is a bad actress. Surely the fact that the character of Joanie evokes such strong feelings shows that DB is a good actress. If she wasn’t good then it would be ‘meh’. There are several characters in ED that I can’t stand but I would never say that they’re bad actors just because I don’t like the characters. A good example is Laurel, she is an awful character to me but Charlotte is an excellent actress. At least that’s the way I look at it. I'm sure others look at it differently.

Joanie isn't a bad actress at all she is a lot better than two of Kwynne's Angels, Victoria and Holly.
Must admit I can't see why they let the wedding go ahead if this is the case.
Surely much better to have had her decide not to marry Zak and then quietly depart?
But I suspect this may be a way of ensuring Kyle stays - if Joanie now suddenly develops a terminal illness (or Belle murders her
) then Kyle could stay with the Dingles but if she just upped and left then presumably he'd go with her?

I can't stand Joanie and what she has done to my favourite soap couple but the actress is really good she has made it easy to dislike her.
