It could be that Renee had the most out of who was left and that the producers had a set number of how many housemates had to be up this week. Set number, as in, number of housemates need to be up for eviction so that the series finishes when it's set to.
Think they want others gone so two non squad members would ensure that happens and would lessen the risk of Lewis or bear being evicted
It doesnt matter how many noms she got or the size of the gap. BB decided on this occasion to make it the top 3. It always is a certain number of hms that will be up, of BB's choosing nothing to do with how many noms they got or the gaps

Because they keep changing it, there is NO set rule or number, BB change it has they see fit

It isn't really fair though that they can keep changing how many they want up each week. It is obviously desired for who they want out.
