At my primary school we had a boy with the lurgies (permanently) who would be the equivalent to Bear.

Me too. Actually it was the grammar school in James' home town but he must have failed his eleven plus as he went to the secondary modern on the council estate down the road.
Yes, we had a boy called Andrew Pratt (yes that was his real name, and yes he was a right Pratt), if there was trouble to be made, he was the one in the thick of it, lol

This type of attitude, goes someway to cause the likes of 'Bear'.....not that I like him (I don't, he is an idiot)...
There are 'Idiots' in Grammar schools.....some even go on to be 'Idiots' in adulthood.
What we need to do is recognise the fact that they are idiots....and....VOTE THEM OUT!

Quite a few Bears at our school but the Bearest Bear was Conor in the year above me. He was rough but I fancied the arse off him. Had a thing with him but wouldn't let him tell anyone because I felt shame.
I went right off him when he was sent to our class one day for some reason and he revealed he didn't know what P.T.O. meant. It was only then I realised he was the way he was because he was thick as champ.

Before I retired, I was a specialist teacher (Social, Emotional & Behavioural Difficulties) I taught teachers behaviour management skills, took whole class & individual referrals (hence my forum name.) I've seen a lot worse than Bear, at least he is not physically violent. However, he is a grown man...
Even though there is no physical violence, there is a lot of spiteful passive aggression and a distinct lack of empathy. Even though he is possibly playing a part, as in the reality shows, there is a lot of nastiness behind his actions and he knows just which buttons to press to generate distress for his fellow HMs.
The first rule or step in behaviour management is to 'ignore' - but this has failed here because HMs could not unite to keep it up, or were dissuaded from it by BB. His tedious attention seeking carries on regardless. I hope we are not seeing the 'real' Bear, because if we are, I seriously fear for him post BB.

The schools I went to until 15 would've expelled me had I behaved in the manner Bear does.
The school I went to after had a fair few of them but they met with physical consequences for their actions. Life lessons and all that jazz.

In a group situation, School/BB house, ignoring can only go so far......Bear is past IGNORING.....he needs to know he has pushed his 'problem' to far and be excluded from the situation.
We had one boy that was a menace. Emptied cans of soup all over the PE changing rooms, olive oil all over the astroturf pitches, the home economics dept was never safe and always found all the eggs broken.
Don't know what ever happened to him ..

True. he is many steps beyond 'ignoring', but it's very obvious that BB has no intention of excluding him from the situation - they probably have plans for him post BB. Meanwhile we have to put up with the tedious and repetitive 'Bear Show' every night.
Yes our school had one like Bear who drove you crazy..he eventually got expelled for peeing down the drivers viewing hole on the top deck of the school bus..it was the last straw

Most probably a Producer of the BB house. just having a 'larf.......
Phillip, who acted like a clown constantly for attention. Although, he did have a kind streak to him, unlike Bear. He didn't come to our school reunion because he was in prison.
I knew I wasn't going to amount to anything, seeing as my sat results were horrendous, so I did regretfully become disruptive.
Plenty at my schools, North Glasgow, some of the worst schools in the UK.
Main events I recall, in an Art a boy got up and stood on a table and peed in a sink when the teacher didn't let him out to the toilet. Someone set the bins in the dinner hall on fire twice. A fight in an English class where boys were throwing the chairs at each other and police had to come in as they refused to leave the class even though one had a broken nose. Someone was stabbed in the gym hall where we had to eat food because someone had died in the normal dinner hall that week and it was shut off. Someone not from our school came into our dinner hall with a baseball bat to attack someone. The other main big thing was someone got the school put on lockdown as they had a metal bar in their school bag and ran out of the class with it, it ended up getting everyones school bags seached.
There was also a stolen car on our school pitches a few times during school hours whch you could hear from most classes but only certain people could watch them.
Few other things where the head teacher used to go to school on my bus as the buses werent going to continue doing it because the amount of windows that were being smashed, also some people stole stuff out of a van before school and the guy threatened the bus driver and was trying to stop the bus moving wanting on to search people.
I could probably name a good dozen just of people in my year at primary and secondary who were off their nuts, 3 people who were in my classes at school have been murdered too which is probably higher than normal considering I only left school 9 years ago, not wee innocent boys either ones you can see why they could have been murdered.
Bear would have been seen as a more normal calmer character compared to the worst who were loose cannons.

Not too bad
although I was also excluded 4 times in school, mostly just minor arguments with teachers over nothing really. Just that a parent had to come in and speak to a teacher before I was allowed back. I was also banned on this forum for a few days recently so maybe i've not turned out too well myself
The mad ones, im not too sure about some of them now. One I actually seen recently last weekend and he's ok but I think he just floats about getting up to no good still, he was the one who ran out of a class when a pole was found in his school bag and had everyones class room doors locked because they thought he was going to attack people or something but he just went home. A lot of people I went to school with don't work now though, a good few drug dealers and others who are into drink and drugs daily, plenty who just drive about the streets in motorbikes and the likes that I can actually hear now while typing.
Yes I can remember a few the worst one was called Alan, he got caned every day almost until he was expelled, he went on to serve a lot of time in prison, what he is doing now I don't know.
i used to do what he did in art class. Exactly like that actually. Whatever we were meant to draw I'd just splash blobs on the paper and say I was done. Hated art.
