Some children, and Bear, thrive on negative attention, simply because
any attention whatsoever is desirable. For Bear, negative attention is even
preferable as it defines the character he is determined to present to us, and it confirms to him that his winding up of HMs is working. However, as this has become very transparent, it has become extremely tedious.
