What on earth does Emma think "play the game" means?

"Playing the game" is normally used to excuse such things as obnoxious behaviour from HMs. Now it's supposed to be about cooperating with Emma?

When she's in the house it does mean that, yeah. She's BB's representative in that instance. They're supposed to do what BB tells them. That's sort of the point.

Unless I'm misunderstanding what your point is?

Emma is employing a play on words where she uses 'play the game' in two different senses in the same sentence.

She just doesn't like Bear.

Her complaint was that he was attention seeking rather than cooperating with her, not that he wasn't doing what she or BB told him.

But I wasn't wondering about her point but about the weird reasoning she seemed to be using to get there.

That's a possibility, I suppose. Like a fallacy of equivocation. (And like when people say game-playing must be ok in BB because BB is a game show.)

I see. Though not sure I agree. She's under a time constraint when she's in there. So him fame-whoring during those moments is a lack of cooperation. But I suppose that's a subjective view.

If people have to stoop to posting articles from the filthy, bullshitting, racist, bigoted bog roll that is The Sun to make their point, then they've already lost the argument...

Exactly not sure why this goes over people's heads.

There's the game playing in the house😀

And the part of the game that is nominations and evictions and cooperating with that side. Punishments and earning shopping or treats.
With the ultimate authority over this is bb as they see it!

The presenter has a time slot which she or he have to keep to .

Housemates will have understood all this when they came into the house and signed their contracts.

Imo Emma didn't like Bear clarifying what she said because she felt it made it seem like she didn't deliver her instructions clearly, i.e. didn't do her job properly.

The others all understood what they had to do but Bear was too busy being his usual obnoxious self to listen to her.

I felt that he wanted to make doubly sure everyone knew what to do because his girl Chloe's time on the house was on the line. Plus, he maybe a little bit confused himself, he's not the brightest chap.

No a few checking with each other to see if they had it correct because is obviously an important decision to get right.
Emma just doesn't like Bear and especially so after he referred to her as "sexy".

Bear might have done structured reality but he doesn't seem to realise that disrupting time sensitive live shows for the sake of a little more air time pees off all of the professionals involved.

Who can blame her? I am sure plenty of people don't like him.

Does he ever listen to instructions? He talks over anything shown on the house screen. I've missed things that have been said because rent a gob cannot keep his mouth shut. It's all part of his attention seeking.

I thought Emna kept her cool really well during the live transmission.
Bear was being a complete douche.
The instructions were very simple.
I think he actually confused some of the others by continually asking for clarification.

I'm sorry but as Emma and Rylan always say about housemates why go in if you can't handle it in there.

That is word for word what she said, so why would they lose an argument by posting something Emma actually said.

You're right. She should just stay outside if she can't handle it. It's not like she's the main presenter or anything. She's just like a HM.
