Once upon a time I remember "any housemate found purposely causing damage to the house fixtures and fittings, will be severely punished".

What happened to that I wonder? .. and the welfare of other housemates being of paramount importance?

Why are producers happy for the house to be trashed this year, and for the housemates to be put at risk and in potential danger?

Shocking behaviour from bosses this year, totally unacceptable

I cant think of any damage that would cause danger to housemates. Unless someone decided to go and walk on the oil, knowing it was there, in which case it would be their own stupid fault.

to be honest i would be more worried about the cleanliness and germs especially after housemates in previous series getting ill. Scruffy animals.

No, it wouldn't be their fault for a legal perspective because the producers had not taken reasonable precautions to prevent an accident. Secondly, not all the HMs witnessed the pouring of the oil. Thirdly, a mop & bucket wielded by Bear wouldn't neccessarily remove all the oil. The oil was on the artificial grass and the path. The worst case scenario could be a broken back, neck or skull - very serious injuries.

There was also the food thrown by Heavy in the kitchen which wasn't immediately cleaned up and the soup in the bathroom which wasn't even mentioned in the HL show. I can't believe that this was not a point of discussion.

surely a bucket of water would just spread the oil about, it's probably still there?

I would imagine they were all told to mind the floor.
For health and safety, you only have to take reasonable precautions, not protect morons from themselves.

If anyone was worried about the food in the kitchen they could have either cleaned it up or not gone near it. you could hardly miss it.
If the producers are not being silly about health and safety, then good for them! (And that is probably the only bit of praise they will get from me this year! )

Throwing objects/food, punching mirrors/smashing glass, pouring liquids that may cause danger/a hazard to health - is NOT acceptable. Also, threatening/intimidating behaviour towards another housmate has NOT been tolerated, EVER - so why has it this series? Intervention should happen in all of the above situations immediately, BEFORE those incidents even occur/unfold.

BB has just sat back and done absolutely nothing. The housemates have been left to run riot - to the annoyance and concern of others - and trash the house as they see fit, unpunished, or a slap on the wrist at the very least.

Anyone behaving in the above manner in civilian BB would be ejected without hesitation, or given a first and final warning. Exactly how many warnings have they dished out now - and to those that actually warrant them? ..

There are some incredibly twisted individuals in charge of this programme, they make me feel sick ..

Where is that "any housemate" quote from? It's not from the BB rules.

Big Brother gave that warning last series when Marco was swinging from some lights so it should be there.

In Aaron's year they had a huge food fight and the whole house was strewn in frosted flakes. Jason smashed the diary room door down twice. Megan took a swing at the cameras. Bear is on a final warning for cracking the window...what else are BB supposed to do to him?

Me too. He was formally warned about smashing the window, which is not the same as a final warning.

Does once upon a time really mean a decade or so ago?

They had 'fun' in Aaron's year, unheard of now I know. Jason was continually antagonised by BB, so his actions were entirely down to the producers, hence no ejection etc. Megan was desperate to be the next Nikki Grahame and still is. Bear is invincible, his mates in production are seeing to that and keeping his paycheck safe. He should have been removed ages ago - Biggin's was in the way of his win and had to take the hit.

They should keep an eye on Sam Fox, all that sitting round doing sweet FA can cause DVT.

Bit of a one-sided view; Jason wrecks DR and should not be removed, Bear breaks DR door so should be removed. Lacks some sort of logic.

It's simple, BB drove Jason to it so hardly surprising, and Stephen is just a child.

A formal warning can be final. Depends on exactly what BB told him. Is there a clip?

Unlike everyone else on the planet, Jason is not responsible for his own behaviour.
