I have no one to ship.
I know that won't stop the tabloids but there are no single pros except Jo.
I could try shipping her and Melvin but am sure he'll get Janette.
There are no available pros bar Jo and possibly the 21 year old babies.

Karen - Kevin
Aljaz - Janette
Neil - Katya
Brendan - happily married
Anton -LTR
Nat - engaged
Gio - LTR
Pasha - LTR
Oksana - happily married
Oti - happily married
Gorka - newly engaged
AJ - Chloe (both 21/ troupe?/ are they also an item?)

The only one single is Jo

So far, we have
Ed married
Will single but no gay pros
Laura single? 31
Ore married
Melvin single? 35
Louise happily married
Danny newly engaged

They're not taking any chances are they?
But nor do they seem to have young free and single pros and slebs who could get together without fuss.
Which is a shame for an old romantic as I loved Kara and Artem on screen.

So Jo is 32 and Melvin is 35. Is she too tall for him?

Ah well. <focuses on the dancing as opposed to showmances>

If I never have to hear the phrase "Strictly curse" ever again, I'll be very happy indeed.

Ah *Stig* I don't want anyone in real life to break up but would have liked to have seen chemistry between available parties, saddo that I am.

It is interesting that they have now got three married pro couples on there and, in the same way they tried to make out Robin was available when he really wasn't, they have kept most of the not so well known dancers' relationships on the low down: which is fine, and as it should be, but then they still exploit the publicity of fauxmances, triangles, and introducing "hot new" him and "sexy siren" her when, in reality, everyone appears to be very settled and positively loved up.

I give you very low odds on that. In fact, I think we're more likely to lose "journey" than the "Strictly Curse".

It's always been the same though?
The Bennetts, the Jordans, Brendan and Camilla (and look how that one turned out ), Vincent and Flavia (ditto) even Matt and Nicole Cutler if you're being pedantic ...

With the amount of dance experience this year, the only journey so far's going to be Balls.

Ah Brendan, the origin story of the Strictly curse.
I don't remember all the couples on the show at the same time, but you are quite right, maybe it's just that the Cliftons and Janette/Aljaz were used in more Love numbers last year. Confirmation bias.

Series 4 gave us The Jordans, The Bennetts, Vincent and Flavia and Matt and Nicole ... with Brendan and Camilla being The Ones Nobody Talked About.

Wow. That's a lot.
I must have been more focussed on the dancing back then
The last proper romance on screen was DWTS Robert Herjavec (To coin the late brilliant Caroline Aherne, what did Kym Johnson see in the multi millionaire Robert Herjavec?)
I tease, he came over as a real sweetie. They're married now and were just lovely to watch together.

Best ever question was on "the One show" at the Rebecca Gibney reveal a couple of series ago.

"No chance of a showmance then?" asked Alex Jones (or whomever was presenting)

So the question was really:
"Are you going to leave your multi-millionaire husband who provides all your acting work, in order to shack up with an impoverished dancer?"

In answer to the OPs question, read the first line of this article very carefully:

Though I'm sure none of us wish it on anyone, it could (and does) happen...

But wasn't Pasha single then?
Not that there hasn't been a loved up pro fall for their partner (see above, and Kristina/Flavia twice). But if most of the pros are married/engaged, it lessens the odds somewhat.
Really never saw Rachel Riley and Pasha coming, it 's probably been said on here before but it reminds me of Friends when Joey said no need to worry unless there is no chemistry on stage

Lol as if being married or being in relationships stop people from cheating; it certainly hasn't stopped some of them in the past.

And " happily married " .... how do people know if a couple is happily married A lot of these " happily married " couples present a great public image but have a miserable marriage life in reality.

Last but not least , this strictly curse term that the press love to use is overrated and just annoying. There's no strictly curse .

I don't know her. Do you mean Holly Valance or did Rebecca Gibney do kiwi dwts?
The name sounds familiar. I thought she might have been in Return to Eden but that was another Rebecca. Would love to see Claudia Karvan do the Oz version.

I can relate everything to Friends!

I agree about Rachel and Pasha, I didn't see that one coming at all. Same with Flavia and Jimi. I suspect though that both couples wanted it that way.

Nothing to do with the "Strictly Curse" (sorry ) but it's always lovely to see the friendships between the partnerships still going strong. Zoe and Ian is the really obvious one but a lot of the dancers have remained on really good terms. I understand that Brendan and Lulu frequently go on holiday together. On a more serious note, my heart was warmed to see the support Ola had from her previous partners when Steve Backshall was crying "she is a bully".
