Ooh you cynic! You are indeed correct, but as Oti got married 2012 and Oksana 2014
I guess I saw them still in the honeymoon stage. (Not sure how that works for Gleb though). Brendan dotes on Zoe, he lights up when he talks about her. Told you I was a sad romantic.
Of course cheaters gonna cheat. Strictly just gives two strangers proximity and intimacy whereby, as with actors, you get to know each other very closely very quickly.

"Are you going to leave your multi-millionaire husband who provides all your acting work, in order to shack up with an impoverished dancer?"”

The impoverished dancer was Tristan though!! Best looking dancer (imo) and brilliant personality, loved him.

🙈🙈🙈 I hate to sound cynical but it's true. Actually I'm usually more wary of the couples who act like everything is sunny, post so much about how much their love their other half on social media. Eh.....

Jo Clifton has a very lovely (and very tall) boyfriend. They haven't been together long but as you can see from this picture they look very happy together.

Major typo

I could not remember her surname - then looked it up, and the wrong first name came into my head.

The Flying Doctors would have been weird !!

And a secretly miserable marriage may be why some contestants have done the show in the first place - as an escape. Who knows! But I do hope we are spared such shenanigans this season.

I could try shipping her and Melvin but am sure he'll get Janette.
There are no available pros bar Jo and possibly the 21 year old babies.

Karen - Kevin
Aljaz - Janette
Neil - Katya
Brendan - happily married
Anton -LTR
Nat - engaged
Gio - LTR
Pasha - LTR
Oksana - happily married
Oti - happily married
Gorka - newly engaged
AJ - Chloe (both 21/ troupe?/ are they also an item?)

The only one single is Jo

So far, we have
Ed married
Will single but no gay pros
Laura single? 31
Ore married
Melvin single? 35
Louise happily married
Danny newly engaged

They're not taking any chances are they?
But nor do they seem to have young free and single pros and slebs who could get together without fuss.
Which is a shame for an old romantic as I loved Kara and Artem on screen.

So Jo is 32 and Melvin is 35. Is she too tall for him?

Ah well. <focuses on the dancing as opposed to showmances>”

BIB Jo is in a relationship

Indeed. No idea who the guy is but if it's the bloke on the edelweiss hashtag, he's a keeper. (Couldn't see link above so might have had a look on Instagram).
She looks fab with her natural blonde hair. Hoping she gets to keep it. She's been there longer than Oksana.
She makes a fine Marilyn as well.
So no Jelvin/Clodoom (no idea how portmanteaux work, can you tell?!)
Oh well. No shipping forecasts this year. Maybe Laura and Pasha can just sizzle instead (based on Rachel , if they do sizzle they're definitely platonic).

I honestly don't think that the pro's are chosen for any reason then for getting the best possible Pros for the show. Being married, engaged or in a relationship does not matter as long as the pro can dance to a high standard and is a good teacher.

To quote Stewart Lee, you can prove anything...with facts *Chris*
This thread is no place for reason, logic or sanity!
I'm sure you're right with the caveat that physical appearance/sex appeal must also play a part in selection. And nepotism *cough* burn the floor *cough*
It is still bad they made Aliona and Jo reach for the hair dye though if it's about dancing and teaching skills.

On the colour and number charts of the Strictly hairstylists there is likely room for Jo to retain her blonde hair along with Natalie and Oksana now Kristina, Ola and Aliona have left.

Wonder which of the brunettes they're saving the bottle of red dye for?

Have started a separate thread for this article but I thought I should post here as well as it is regarding BBC counselling sessions in relation to the Strictly Curse:

Dear BBC.
Please stop trying to promote your own curse.
Thank you.

I still have no clue why they had made Aliona dye her hair probably for distinguishing purposes which was quite clear, however I really didn't mind she looked stunning with that red firey hair

That made me laugh, cheers.
I do like the melodrama of a curse though. It's a dance show not tutanbloodykamun.
Although Kristina probably got a lot of 'king tuts in her time. ( scriptwriter to Bruce Forsyth)

Melvin is quite happy for the curse of a hot pro bless his cotton socks..."if she falls in love with me, who I am to stand in the way of true love." They missed a trick there. Is Chloe single? What is it, divide by half and add seven? 36/2=18+7=25. Ooh she's four years too young.

I like Melvin and the fact that he was considering platforms if he got an Amazonian pro.
