No Bear - what would the show have been?

From watching his season of Ex on the Beach, I always knew Bear would be a big character, but I never expected how much. When Biggins left, it essentially because the The Bear and others show. Even when housemates are called to the diary room, invariably they are asked about Bear. I remember watching one Live Feed and it cut from a conversation of Bear talking about getting himself off in the showers to James and Ricky talking about Orcas.

So, what would have been the main stories if there were no Bear. There are no real celebs in there this year, so i'm guessing the main focus would be the couples. Lewis and Marnie were always scripted, sorry, i mean "destined" to be together, but i find this showmance boring AS F. I sometimes just skip over when they are on screen. I guess Ricky would have been more of a character and had more fun - but with who? Sam will want to go to bed early more often than not. Katie could have some fun, but she's too concerned with righting the wrongs from her time in the X-Factor. I'm guessing the new common enemy would have been Frankie as he loves to plot and scheme, but he just hasn't had the chance. I'm guessing Renee would have had more run ins with other people but i don't know who she would fight with. Maybe James?

So despite the fact that 75% of the show is Bear, upon reflection, i don't think this is entirely a bad thing.

It could be a lot worse or a lot better, we don't know.

Without bear the current divide would certainly be less existent if there at all and Heavy and Chloe in particular would probably be quite a different housemates. (Chloe was quite fun before Bear)

But nominations would still have had to happen and so we'd have different divides and splits, and of course that may well have changed eviction outcomes and so on.

it would not simple be the same as it is now just minus bear, that's for sure.

Yes, as Frankie said, "Nothing unites more than a common enemy", and Bear sure is common.

Peaceful, perhaps we may have seen more of the quieter characters having intelligent conversations.

the other housemates could be themselves more, rather than sitting there discussing how to placate the rhinocerous

Aubrey, Renee would have provided enough fireworks, but naturally rather than contrived

A lot better and maybe viewers like me would have stayed with the CBB rather than switch over to avoid his antics.

I use this forum to keep abreast of whats gping om rather than watch him and CBB. It must be the worst CBB ever.So glad I didnt waste my time watching and as for voting that boat has well passed I keep my hard earned dosh in my pocket.

Yeah, still some drama from the face to face noms and what not. But even then, we saw that with Aubrey and James and that died down after an episode.

I dunno, i'm guessing Renee could have made the series but she's no New York. They just don't have enough personalities in there. Gone are the days of Gary Busey, Audley Harrison and James Corden. Or even big name stars throwing a fit. I get the impression that minus Biggins and Bear, most of the season would have played out like the final two epsisodes of a season where not much happens people just kind of get on with it.

Well as it is all we get to see is Bear stroking his massive over inflated ego for his own selfish gain.

Had he not been there then the other housemates would have had the space needed to be themselves, interact more closely, and step up to the plate more.

Instead we have to put up with this infernal idiot who thinks he's entertaining because he is allowed to get away with far too much. He should have been voted out ages ago.

It would be the Frankie show acting dancing playing up to the camera's and generally being annoying . With a extra side show of Lewis Mar showmance hell.

The only Light relief is heavy and would be if no bear

The rest would still be boring radar Dodgers

We can only guess as to what the show could have been, without Viacom's employee getting away with everything.

We'll never know sadly. People can say the housemates outside of the shite squad are being boring but they've been forced into that by not wanting to rise to Bear's baiting tactics and just keep away from the forced drama. If Bear hadn't entered the house completely different dynamics could have evolved, instead of a siege mentality the other housemates could have found conflict within their own group. This season has been a waste of time.

Oh no, no, no - never this!!

BB have to guarantee drama, so people like Marnie, Aubrey, Renee, Frankie would have been expected to step up to the plate. I don't think they would ever have got anything out of Ricky, James, Sam or Katie, but they have hired a few who have form - so they can fall back on them if Bear gets himself ejected too early.

We shall never know because the others have had no chance to shine. We have barely seen anyone but bear and more bear. I hope when the others get out and see how they have been treated, give the producers a very hard time.

It would have been a show rather than one long advertisement for reality shows which CBB viewers may not choose to watch normally. Viewing figures and funds from calls, texts etc. will indicate if it was worth it and viewing figures for future reality shows will indicate if the promotion worked.
