Emma asked leading question after leading question. She wanted to point out that he had been an annoyance. She wanted to point out that he wasn't really accepted or liked. She wanted to point out that Bear was using him after Chloe left. She wanted to point out that he hadn't been funny or entertaining and so on and so on.
I believe she could easily have got him talking if she hadn't been on her personal mission to belittle him. We learnt nothing and it was not a comfortable interview. Well done Emma.

Or she puts to him such questions that reflect the claims of his detractors so he gets the right of rebuttal.

Emma is trying to choose her words carefully about Heavy to avoid getting more shit on twitter.
I'm assume that's a reference to her rant last eviction which I cheered. |

She should be consistent. I prefer the harsher interviews but sometimes she treats certain housemates with kid gloves and other times she'll completely roast them.
She was unfairly vicious with Chloe and is often this way with young, attractive females. Be consistent, that's all most of us want. Because Emma Willis would be jealous of Chloe Trout Khan |

You're only saying that because you don't like Chloe. This is the thing about the whole impartiality debate, as long as she's being disproportionately critical of a housemate you don't like it's fine. Not a problem.
I can still admit her lip game is trout-esque. |

You dumb as hell. I already posted in other threads about loving Chloe so BYE BIITCH.
I can still admit her lip game is trout-esque. ![]() All I had to go by was your justification of Chloe's interview and you calling her "Chloe Trout Khan". And it doesn't change the fact that Emma was ludicrously harsh towards her. |

So don't talk like you do know me.
It doesn't change the fact that Emma's interview with Chloe (and many other young, conventionally attractive females) was INCREDIBLY harsh and condescending. |

I don't know you, you're just text on a computer screen. Your post made it seem like you disliked Chloe and were using that to justify Emma's impartiality, as would be the case with many people.

Davina would have had a bit of fun with Heavy D but Emma Willis again shows her phoning-it-in snobbery. All through Heavy D and Bear's excruciating antics I *do* think they have a valid and insightful point that is laudable - annoy, make love, fight, vandalise whatever but do something for the pay packet. His comment could just as easily be directed at Willis. Maybe she just hates the fact that, the way her post pregnancy ankles and bingo wings are going, she'll look like Heavy D's mum by the end of the year.
Sizeism is the last taboo and acceptable prejudice. Heavy D grinned, boomed and bore it. Good luck to him. |

She reminded me very much of Davina!
I've seen this week people saying that Emma should be sacked and Davina should come back because she'd be impartial (in response to Emma's rant) - people seem to have idealised Davina to the point of forgetting that she would often show bias towards or against housemates much in the same vein as a viewer or a BB fan would, rather than remaining impartial at all times. It's always been the way of BB - the presenters have never been just bland, impartial interviewers. |

Some will come on here saying she should be impartial.
Should she? She's not a High Court judge. The man is a cretin. |

As I've said, my issue is consistency. If she's going to do harsh then that's fine, just apply this approach to all housemates and not just the ones you personally dislike.
And harsh interviewing does not mean lecturing which is what she did with Chloe. Chloe Khan was an utter disgrace on CBB. Emma's interview of her was spot on. |
