The redemption arc
Many of us have speculated and it looks like it's happening people.
We'll now get to see the fun side of Bear, making people laugh and turning on the charm. Suddenly the 'antics' aren't provocative and antagonistic, they're fun and playful instead. All this stuff is planned weeks in advance, if not months. Villain turned hero is a guaranteed win, it's just another manipulation by the producers and the majority will fall for it. It's more 'show' than 'reality' now. Oh well, it is what it is. |

Show human side: Check Have a laugh with HMs: Check Tone down aggression, dial up playful: Check We may even be treated to a full blown monologue too at some point and maybe even a tear will be shed. |

Bear has occasionally been making people laugh all the way along, only those with deeply entrenched views refuse to see both sides to him.
Opinions of him are formed on what we are shown of his behaviour and it's obviously part of Stephen's 'story' to start as the villain, that's how the show has been structured. We'll now be shown footage to make people like him and the arc will be complete. It's just a heads up really. |

I missed that. He's pushing the 'of course I get hurt, I'm only human' angle too (accompanied by a sad face)

All the other HMs join together in song at the end ... "Always look on the Bright Side of Life" .. de dum, de dum, de dum, de dum, de dum .. |

it worked for Helen, all she had to was be vaguely civil for a few days and many people forgot what an aggressive bastard she had been for the previous six weeks

Bear is not the one who needs a redemption arc to win the show.

Helen became less of a nasty cow in the last 3 days which helped her.
Watch Bear change in the last 2 days and win...I can see it. I don't really care though. If he wins so be it. Most votes to win= winner |

No game, only predefined story arc and coached behaviour. The only game being played is how to get the most money out of it all by the producers.
You believe that BB want Bear to win, and are coaching him so as to get this result? What could they possibly gain from Bear being their winner? |

The closest Bear can come to redemption for me is if he starts winding up Lewis. I still won't particularly like him BUT it would at least show Lewis up for the hypocrite he is if all of a sudden he takes a moral stance against Bear when HE's the one in the firing line

Conspiracy theory alert!!!

You believe that nobody remotely dodgy works in tv? ![]() I used to be like you. I honestly couldn't believe that Helen winning could possibly be in any way bent but she was gross so there's quite rightly a big old question mark over how TF she managed it. Without that golden ticket to the final, she'd have been up every week until she went - she'd never have made it to the last week, let alone win the thing. |

It's a game, it's a show, some are hoping it help's their careers, some are just their to make money, the only people really taking it all seriously and having sleepless nights over it are those who actually think it's all real.

I don't think it's a conspiracy theory. It seems fairly obvious to me. That's why we get Bear filled ads during the ad break. It's all about him all the time. Even when they're giving him a rough time on BOTS it's still all about him. It's non-stop promotion.
Edit: I should add that I don't actually care if he wins. I know this is now the way BB works and it's never going back. |
