Yes.

It's almost as if the OP was absolutely right.

So this is the start of Bear's ''redemption''.
It's just like Helen Wood all over again.

Yep, that's what we've been saying.

They've found a formula that works and they've pulled it off before.

Completely scripted and manipulated, this series has definitely revealed that.

It's basically promo for the new series of Ex on the Beach isn't it?

Yep and I fell for it that time. When she appeared to take responsibility for her behaviour and seemed penitent, I thought perhaps she wasn't so bad after all. How wrong I was. I shan't fall for that again.

The whole thing with Lewnie is a bit embarrassingly obvious, especially with the pictures of them together before going in to the house. They actually seem like they're reading off a script sometimes even though they're not. Terrible acting
The pictures were taken last September, when Marnie was engaged to Lewis' friend Ricky Rayment.

You need to think sensibly about how a romance with Lewis would benefit Marnie before you shout 'fake'! Before BB, she was involved with Aaron from GS, a relationship which all their fans supported. There are even fan made youtube videos celebrating their romance.

Given this, why would Marnie risk losing her fans' support and possibly her place in the show by starting a relationship with Lewis Bloor? It makes no sense in terms of voting, as she's alienated the thousands of Maaron fans.

I agree that they speak in romantic clichés, but so do a lot of people. Who knows if it will last outside the house? I still believe they have feelings for each other and think they've fallen in love. It's not all acting.

It was as fake a s a 9 bob note - she had no redeeming qualities whatsoever and IDK if you saw any of her twitter feed after the show but the only word that accurately describes that woman is the forum favourite - vile.

I think it's safe to say that the BB we knew and loved has really, truly gone now AT

I'm not sure if I've got the stomach for any more of it (didn't watch the last 2 normals) and once again, I find myself enjoying the forum more than the show.

There's a part of me that wishes they'd just call it a day, rather than have us watch it die a slow and painful death.

There's no way on earth you could possibly know that - all you can do is speculate, like the rest of us.

You say it's real, I say it's bullshit.

Climax of the redemption arc was revealed as an exclusive on BOTS to be seen tomorrow. There aren't enough eyeroll emojis in the world...

Same here. I didn't watch civilian this time. I haven't watched the HL show since the first few nights. The HLs have been so boring I found myslef wandring off or channel hopping I read the forum and if anything interesting comes up I watch short excerpts on plus 1; tonight for example tuned in just to see what Katie said to Bear. Then again post noms to see what Sam was saying. The only bit I have watched regualrly is the little bit of live feed. It is clearly being made for a different audience nowadays.

On a side note; they cut BB short for CBB right? Was this so they could tie in to the scheduled start of EOTB? What do you think?
You are spot on, this is why Bear is in front of the cameras all the time. If he does well in this then people will also tune into EOTB! They are just manipulating the public constantly and people fall for it. Even putting Bears girlfriend into the house today, Bear sad in the dr and gets sympathy from the public! Not me, I will not spend a penny on voting for Bear to win. If people vote clever this week for Ricky, Sam and James then both Lewis and Bear could go!

Bear has occasionally been making people laugh all the way along, only those with deeply entrenched views refuse to see both sides of him.
This exactly.
Our Bear has been hilarious from day one. A certain kind of people were totally blind to it and had the loudest voices in the early days and so it looked on here like everyone hated him. It was never so.

Yes and he even mentioned the key word " journey" last night
Scripted and coached .
Fake as f$ck
I think that is quite clear these days - but do we know the show/production company is complicit in that though? Isn't more likely agents just coach their clients or have people from the industry that do it for them?

MTV and C5 are both owned by Viacom. It's just cross promotion.
Exactly It's not rocket science. They're promoting ex on the beach during ad breaks too so easy to see why they are favouring him.
It was the same with Vicki Pattison. Her management wanted to promote her for mainstream/daytime tv. First she went in the jungle to reach a different audience then got jobs on this morning and loose women to promote a more "nice girl" image. A different market for bear, granted but the same type of promotion all the same.

Many of us have speculated and it looks like it's happening people.

We'll now get to see the fun side of Bear, making people laugh and turning on the charm. Suddenly the 'antics' aren't provocative and antagonistic, they're fun and playful instead.

All this stuff is planned weeks in advance, if not months.

Villain turned hero is a guaranteed win, it's just another manipulation by the producers and the majority will fall for it. It's more 'show' than 'reality' now.

We may even be treated to a full blown monologue too at some point and maybe even a tear will be shed.
Well I was having a chuckle watching last night's show that's for sure

Looks like we're getting the monologue and tears tonight.

See everyone, he has got a human side, he is a nice guy and it's not fake at all!

BB have done literally everything in their power to facilitate a win now, lets see if Stephen can stay on-script and ride it home.

It's so pathetic how blatant this all is now. They truly take the public for fools and the idiot public seem to be falling for it!

They wouldn't get away with it if the majority of viewers weren't dumb enough to fall for this sort of crap. Same goes for the showmances, When they showed Bear looking upset in the diary room about his "ex" visiting on BBOTS all the audience went "aww". Give me strength. I normally can't abide James Jordan but at least he called out this for the BS it is

Redemption Arc Watch: Day 3

Stephen has said 'I'm only human'
He's cried
He's shown vulnerability
He's playing the isolation angle
He's 'hard done by'
He's changed his physical appearance to reinforce the change

He is also maintaining some aspects that his current fans like so he doesn't lose them along the way.

We're still lacking the 'breakdown', then comes the realisation and penitence.

Ol' Stevie boy's running out of time for all that. Or will BB just discard him before he gets the chance?

It's an interesting little side game to play in place of real entertainment. I'll make bingo cards and see if we can't tick all the boxes.

I used to enjoy watching this to see how the people interacted and developed.
Now I watch it to see how much manipulation by the producers the gullible public will swallow. They must think we're all daft...maybe they're right.

You missed it !
The 'breakdown' has been and gone and he is already moving through the pity party cards ....
BB slipped up in not showing enough of it ( but there probably wasn't too much of it anyway ) - it was the convo with James "I am only human" and convo with Ricky on the day of his 'bang out of order " and pretending- to-cry appearance in the DR and later "I have no one in this house " talking to himself - even before Lewis left

Many viewers , including the HMs will mistake these chats as approaches of reconciliation and revelation and friendship but they are only being used as sounding- boards in the BoreShow - he can't be seen to be constantly talking to himself
