I liked Jason but I also liked Hughie. When the likes of Jayne and all that said Jason didn't deserve to win, forum members kicked off and said 'yes he did. He got the most votes do he deserved it. It's the public that decide and they he won fair and square'.

So, if Bear wins, will the people who were Jason fans be hypocritical and say Bear didn't deserve to win despite the fact he got the most votes to win from the public?

I'm sure they will

PS. I don't like Bear if anyone's wondering.

I wanted Jason to win,

I don't want bear to win.

If bear wins then that's the public vote.

This is the comment which is spot on.

But I know a lot won't see it that way and will be hypocritical if Bear wins.

If Bear does win I might not like it but the fact would remain that he had got the most votes and I'd have to accept it

I'm not one of these people who says that the runner up in any contest is the "people's champion"

I see where u r going with this one
At least it will be more bearable than the cries of 'fix' which you get on Facebook every year , with obscure reasons as to why C5 would fix it for such and such to win. Endlessly mind numbing

I think Jason was NOT SUPPOSED to win. Even at the final bots they had everything set up for Hughie.

He wasn't promoted and he was viciously treated by BB.

The complete opposite of how Bear has been treated.

So it's interesting, but actually not hypocritical for people to question Bear's win, and not Jasons.

Jason won AGAINST the odds, after all.

They are well stacked in favour of 'ex on the beach star' Bear.

And some winners are universally acknowledged as deserving - even by those that didn't support them - like Rachel Rice.

And some are panned forever, like Helen Wood.

It's rather POINTED that their characters couldn't be more different.

It's not so simple as 'the people voted'.

The true winners aren't always the ones who win!
Time decides which of the top 4 or so make something of themselves from it !
I didn't especially want Jason to win he wasn't favourite but he did get the most votes.
There's something in bears path to the final that isn't right !
He should have been put up for nomination the first week and some else would have been asked to leave with what he's done.
Him and Biggin's were favoured from the start !
Biggin's gone it's the bear show!
Is ex on the beach a channel 5 show ?

One problem with all of that is that when people say a HM did not deserve to win, and other people reply by saying the HM deserved to win because they had the most votes, they're using different meanings of "deserved to win".

When people say a HM didn't deserve to win, they don't mean, assume, imply, presuppose, or whatever, that the HM didn't get the most votes. They mean the HM didn't do what is needed for a HM to deserve to win and so didn't deserve to get the most votes either.

Few BB winners have ever deserved to win, imo, even though they had the most votes.

In any case, I don't think hypocrisy will wait until we know who wins this CBB.

Pretty much how I feel. The only time I have ever felt there was 'fixing' or manipulation of voting outcomes is when the nom process is interfered with and it seems to be done in such a way that a particular housemate dodges a bullet or bullets. One glaringly obvious one was Helen. And lets face it if Bear wins it will be good going on his fans part because he's up every week so no nobbling there!

Well analysed Veri.

'Deserved' is used in different ways.

When an underseving HM wins (which imo is the usual case), that's seldom, if ever, about anything being "fixed".

Why would you assume that Jason supporters don't like Bear when you yourself liked Jason and Hughie two housemates with totally different personalities , works both ways

Unless the opportunity of getting them out was blocked from day one. I firmly believe that at times BB have manipulated the method of voting to suit but I doubt that phone lines are rigged or any such thing.

It was the Hughie Jackson and Andy supporters that had to be gracious to the Jason win! And on the whole we were!
As were the Jayne supporters!

If some people have said that, maybe they mean that when the other HMs comments have been like, "Hughie is the real winner", what they're trying to say is, "no, Hughie isn't the real winner, because it was Jason that Emma announced as the winner". To me, those type of comments sort of come off as a bit sour grapes, almost as if it's somehow an attempt to change the actual result, which of course they can't do.

Anyway, to answer the question as in would I be hypocritical - no, I won't be hypocritical. Jason deserved to win because he was a genuinely nice, decent HM who didn't go round looking for airtime and he wasn't nasty about his fellow HMs. He also had to cope with a hell of a lot of stick from BB, particularly during the last couple of weeks where they genuinely seemed to want to break him down. With Bear, if he does win, (if there's any justice, he won't), I'll be saying he doesn't deserve to because of his appalling behaviour, and not because he had the most votes.

If you think of it in the sense of are we really seeing the real Stephen Bear? then no I don't think he deserves to win because he is not being himself. Jason was being real and true to himself. And that holds true even if he somehow manages to win surely.

Once it comes down to Bear and a few others the anti-Bear vote will kick in hopefully. I still believe he has just as much detractors as fans. Don't think we will have to worry about a Bear win, thankfully.

^^ This...

But there is a BUT

1st week Bear should have been up for eviction with James and Grant. Bear may not have been evicted, but that is something we'll never know.
IMO that was the week we had a good chance of getting rid of Bear, but now no way. He'll win this
