Dan Wootton has just announced on Twitter that Gleb is heading to the US and joining DWTS.

Well, my conclusion is he left Strictly because of a personal clash somewhere or he had relocation plans in the pipeline for a while...

Again he was in it a few years ago. He danced with Lisa Vanderpump

Well he will be a fraud. As his reason for leaving Strictly will be rubbish. Why couldn't he have been honest. Well if people knew the T on Gleb then they would not be surprised about his dishonesty.

Well his kind of style - over- substance choreography will probably go down great over there.

Hmmm, I tend to agree jiroos although the quote is:

"He's accepted a huge pay deal in the US after his BBC Strictly Come Dancing stint"

So perhaps they made an offer he couldn't refuse.

I thought he hasn't done more than one series on any Strictly/DWTS so far? So it's not surprising he'd move on. And I imagine the pay on DWTS US might be higher than Strictly.

Usual jumbled up tabloid story ("replacing" Derek Hough etc 🙄 )

Who knows it may not be true. Wootton is known for writing a lot of controversial things

Wouldn't be surprised if true always thought he was using strictly as a stepping stone to get back on dwts actually said it on here last year and his choreography on scd was very dwts friendly and very different to how he was on dwts the first time good luck to him glad he isn't back on strictly. Can hardly replace a pro who is no longer on the show tho

Good for him, why not? His style is probably more suited to dwts, and no doubt he has been offered good $$$$

As far as I'm concerned they're welcome to him!

True. However, they drop them far more frequently than Strictly does, you can be in one season then relegated to the troupe the next. I believe that's what happened to Gleb the last time, and then he got dropped altogether. Same thing has happened to Emma Slater.

I personally believe that Strictly is far better than DWTS, it's also not as popular in the USA as Strictly is in the UK.

Have to be honest bendy, I'm disappointed in him a bit. Why did he lie and day he left for family reasons? Would have been better for him to just tell the truth.

As it is, he would have been established on Strictly, and would have probably got a ringer this time around. They are t anywhere near as fair on DWTS and the same pro's get the best celebs year in year out. If he's happy to play second fiddle to Derek Hough and Mark Ballas and God knows who else then good luck to him. Look what's happened to Artem, one of the most popular pro's on Strictly but lumbered with duffers or relegated to their silly troupe on DWTS. I wonder if he thinks he made a mistake?

I wish him well of course, but I can't help but think Strictly was just an audition to get back on DWTS. That was the 'indecisiveness' that caused the BBC to let him go I presume?

Oh really? Do tell....... We know he pissed the costume department off

I don't think his wife had any intention of doing Strictly. She seems more interested in choreographing shows.

...And Oksana was in the DWTS troupe.

(I think Artem just appeared as an extra dancer a couple of times. He wasn't in the troupe or a pro with a partner. I think at the time his relationship with Carrie Ann made him a no-no).
