I know it is rare -relatively- but I live alone in a big house totally unsuitable for me if I could not walk so it seems a risk too great. So sorry about what happened to you

Well my recovery took so long only because I didn't have time to look after myself. As soon as I was out of hospital, my mum was deteriorating and needed round the clock care, one of the cats broke his leg and needed round the clock care. I couldn't even cope with the physio. Now the pain I get sure beats what I had before surgery. Like Shaz said, her case is rare ... and damn unlucky. Don't write it off altogether .... just research, research, research!
