Would strictly ever get teenagers?

Wonder if strictly would ever get teenagers on the show? I would like to see some. I know we have have Louisa Lytton 10 years ago when she was 17. I'm a 17 year old girl myself so I would like to see some teenagers. I don't see why not. Hayes Grier and Willow Shields were 15 when they did it. Think it would be pretty good to have some teenagers

Wasn't Louisa 19?
Also, how old was Tracy Beaker when she did it?

Dani Harmer was 23. Louisa was 17.

It's perhaps more likely now they've got some younger pros (and now Bruce has left as he was always on the verge of inadvertently saying something inappropriate). I don't think they'd ever go as young as 15 though. With the way some of the press look for any way to criticise the BBC and make up stories it's probably quite risky to have teenage contestants.

I would imagine that 16 would be the cut off age as that is the age dancers move from the junior division to the adult comps. That said, unless the pro they were partnered with was also a teenager, the BBC wouldn't risk it even with a sixteen year old celebrity, because it would result in an awful lot of complaints if a 16 year old with a pro who was old enough to be their Dad or Mum.

And seeing as there are next to no teenage pro dancers, it's highly unlikely.
I say "next to no" because there might be one or two and if there are, someone on here will know.

But even the two new pros for this year's Strictly, AJ ad Chloe have turned pro very young, probably just for the Strictly gig. It is far more usual for people their age to compete as amateurs for a bit longer than they have, before they turn pro.

Louisa's the only one I can think off. I know DWTS has had young (Bindi Irwin, Willow Shields etc), but I'd rather not see Strictly go down that route. Personally I'd have 18 as the cut off age.

I think given AJ and Chloe are 20 if they both get a partner I wouldn't rule out an 18 year old taking part

Who? And when did they do strictly?

I think they did dwts?

If they are good dancers it wouldn't bother me - but I would hate to see the inevitable daily mail "raunchy rumba" headlines. Think it would be great if it inspired younger people to take up ballroom dancing though.

I mean DWTS. Hayes is a social media star and incredibly cute and Willow is an actress. She was in the hunger games
