"Everybody" includes millions of younger people who have never heard of Sam.
It depends how young you are talking! I have 4 sons between 35 and 43 and they all know her! If you are talking about people in their 20s then yes they probably wouldn't know her!

The Wapping printers' strike in 1986 was a tragic re-run of the violence police had been meting out to striking miners in previous years. Fox was enlisted by her paymasters at 'The Sun' to break through the picket line in a tank. This cheap and nasty publicity stunt was made all the more sickening by the fact that the printers were regularly being roughed up by the cops. Fox, to her eternal shame, actually went ahead with this sordid farce, making her, by accurate definition, a "scab".

You are obviously very young to say that, everybody knows who Sam Fox is, she was on page 3 of the sun for years and years and one of the favourite! She's not being arrogant when she says everybody knows her I can assure you!

They might know who she is, but I'm pretty sure they don't love her, or even give a toss about her for that matter. I hope she goes on Friday. I can't stand people who are so pleased with themselves - foolishly so in this case I fear.

Well we will know either way on Friday won't we! I very much doubt that many of her old fans would bother watching BB anyway!!!!!

Ridiculous. The printing unions at the time were out of control with the massive power they had wielded for decades. The writing was on the wall when computerised printing and publishing took hold making it inevitable that printing unions would lose a lot of their power. Sam Fox would only be a "scab" if she was a fully paid up member of one of those print unions which I doubt.

I cannot stand the woman! She is so full of herself, and seems to think that she's still somebody special. Her claim to fame was over 30 years ago, and she was off the radar until she entered the house.

Bear and Lewis are so right about her. She has to go on Friday.

Spot on. Not that I care for her in CBB but everybody knows who Sam Fox is. If they say other wise then they're just trying to be the exception.

That's not true, I had honestly never heard of her before CBB.

I laughed when she said that. It was like she was parodying herself.

It was like a scene from Extras.

The difference is (and I am not a Sam fan) Sam WAS well known by the MAJORITY of people of her time......

Bear and Lewis are not well known in their time and will be forgotten very soon after Big Brother.

I saw this more as her being extremely nervous, almost as it she was saying this hoping that it comes true.

That's what I said

I do agree though with your opinion on Bear and Lewis. Saying that, I'm pretty sure Bear will go down in CBB history as being one of the most notorious.

Whilst she's more famous than Bloor and Bear she's nowhere near as well known as she's making out. "our Sam", total bollocks. I only knew her because she was once obnoxious in another reality TV show about a club, I had no idea about her singing.

She was originally famous for getting her tits out for page 3, sorry, I forgot, I meant art.
